Hello everyone

So a kayfun has been my daily vape for a couple weeks now all day everyday. I absolutely love it. One thing I am noticing that is a little bit of a pain is I definitely have to rewick almost daily, or at least every two. I have been using a 70VG/30PG dark juice but it was also about the same with my 50/50 of the exact same juice. It is Sunset Cavendish by Hurricane Vapors for the sake of info.
The coil is very black each day that's for sure, really takes away from the flavor and vapor and requires a dry burn and rewick each day. I have been using a microcoil 1.2-1.3ohm with usually Rayon but sometimes Cotton yarn.
Is this expected? Anything I can do to prolong the coils lifespan from needing to do this on a daily basis? Not that big of a deal I find it quite fun but its just sometimes time doesn't always allow it.

The weird thing that has been happening is my juice really thickens up towards the end of a tank. When I get down to the last ml or two it really gets so thick its almost like a syrup. If I let it roll along the window it takes almost triple the amount of time to glide across as compared to juice directly out of the bottle. It is also getting two to three times darker in color. Not only that the flavor is a bit bitter and harsh, it really lacks in vapor production as well. Now this is usually at the point when I will clean the tank, dry burn and rewick, but it is just strange to me, why would the juice be condensing like this? Its as if the PG is getting vaped more than the VG or something.

Any thoughts on why this happens?
I assume this is normal for thicker juices?
And as stated above any ways to prolong the time in between dry burns and rewicks?

Thank you all for your time.

The fact that your coil is getting the fast build up is most likely due to the flavoring in that particular juice not the PG/VG content. I have 5 kayfuns with different flavors that I rotate throughout the day with the same 1.3 ohm coil like you. The darker color juices that I use will .... up my coils faster then those that are lighter or clear. In my experience the darker colored juices create build up on the coils more quickly, why that is I dont know for certain. The juice getting darker in color can be from the juice getting warm in the tank, being that its against the chimney, and/or the cotton being being darkened from the coil and leaching back into the tank.

Unfortunately its just the nature of the beast, hope this helps some.

Man, I had a chocolate ejuice once that would leave a layer of black ooze after a few fillings, then completely clog up the wicking. I never bought that brand again after I fought through the stuff. Tastes great, but it gunked up everything. Now I only use near clear ejuices or make my own. Flavoring is typically clear or near clear, so if the juice has a deep color it is usually caused artificially or at least by something unwanted.

Its just the flavoring. High VG percentage is possibly harder to wick once the material is saturated black. I have cinnamon roll that makes a hot mess even in my RDAs and a irish cream chocolate mint that gets really dirty. I definitely notice when the coils take on that deep dark color that i don't get as much juice to the coils. I don't know about Kayfun style devices, but on my drippers i have to rewick my cotton daily or the flavor is bad and it doesn't perform as well regardless of the juice.

Flavoring % is high and Artificial colors are in the Flavoring. Both accelerate Clogging.
I make my own Cappuccino mix and it is also a Coil choker. 2-3 tanks and I have to break the Kayfun down for service.
Funny thing is, pass the Rayon under running water and it rinses clean. The coil is another matter and needs a good Dry Burn to clean up.

My Kayfuns running lighter liquids go 10+ tanks before servicing.
