Let's be very clear: nicotine can be deadly in high concentrations, but it's not toxic waste. The <1mL of low-concentration e-juice that's likely to remain in your average disposable vaporizer after the battery dies is not an environmental disaster waiting to happen. The spent battery itself is a bigger concern, ecology-wise.
As for whether your kid could dismantle an e-cig, eat nicotine-soaked polyfill and kill himself? I see no reason to worry about that any more than I'd worry about a small child opening a bottle of bleach or aspirin. Or choking on an otherwise innocuous object. Or falling down the stairs. Or. Or. Or. The notion that e-cigarettes are uniquely or even uncommonly dangerous household items seems preposterous, frankly.
And there is a warning already.

There's enough idiot proof stickers and labels on things. If one doesn't have the common sense to keep their vape and supplies away from their kids, they should just drink all their e-juice, and save evolution the hiccup.
Yes I think people DO need to be told. I didn't assume there was a lethal dosage of nictotine in my Blu until I started researching it so why would I worry about it and of course I'm not talking about TODDLERS I'm talking more about 4 to 6 year olds.
So instead of warnings on packages you'd prefer people commit suicide. Nice Logic. Not.
We will have to agree to disagree. Comparing the probability that a child might consume the nicotine from a vape to them falling down stairs to me is what's preposterous.
For your information those stop signs ARE big. Now if they were itty bitty and in fine print somewhere at the bottom of the road you might have a good comparison.
Exactly HOW is a simple warning on a package STOPPING you from raising your kids the way your want to raise them. Geez!!

One vaper here already said they didn't know about ejuice toxicity, so I guess I do have to take your side.
Putting it in bold wouldn't hurt anything. I do believe in safe rather than sorry to be honest. Anything extra that prevents a TRAJEDY is always worthwhile, despite that it seems to rub people the wrong way.
I think it's because people think labels of that sort equate with are being told they are stupid.

Or they don't want THE MAN telling them what to do, but if the label is voluntary and not required by the MAN then it's harmless. I'm looking at my FINITI package and there is one sentence: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. It doesn't say WHY.
I think the warning should be the same size as the warning on the side of toothpaste...wha...you mean you've never looked at a tube of toothpaste to check out the warning?!?!?!?!?!

Or as big as the warning on the bag over your drycleaning that warns you not to let children play with the bag and explains exactly WHY.
They didn't have warnings on them when I was a child, mom told us not to stick them over our heads, but she'd let us blow them up and pretend they were balloons. But horses and cattle didn't have big warning stickers on them, or stray dogs or cars either. "Mary Poppins" didn't have a warning at the beginning of the movie and a bunch of us 7 year olds took turns jumping off the roof with an umbrella, weird, none of us were hurt. Guess it depends on where and how you were raised. A 12 year old driving a backhoe on the side of the road is not uncommon out here.
How in the world would anyone think a disposable cig-a-like was safe around young children? That totally blows my mind. It has nicotine in it, the stuff that used to be used as an insecticide. The stuff in plants like potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, chilis, and bell peppers, which we never threw the dead plants into the livestock when we turned over the garden for the winter...because they were toxic.
It all comes down to where and how you were raised. What may be common sense to me, you may have to have a printed warning to enlighten you.
I want to say again, I DO get, and appreciate the "sentiment" behind this thread - we live in a pretty crazy world and things are politically slanted far too often; and typically not in the average Joe's favor...
The reality is that we also live in an overly "P.C." world.
Somehow people have accepted Public Relations as some kind of gesture of responsibility; somehow a public statement "means they care". But I think most of us on here can agree that that is typically not the case... We smoked for years knowingly avoiding those warning labels no???
Sure a label is nice gesture - it says the company is willing to publicly admit they manufacture something dangerous. But you can still buy it can't you? Does "big tobacco" care about your health while they put warning labels on cigarettes, but still manufacture and market cigarettes by the trillions per annum?
Being an unabashed skeptic - I am unfortunately of the belief that the only ones who benefit from a warning label are sadly not your children or your pets - it's those who are liable to be sued - the manufacturers...
Although a label is a nice gesture, and certainly not a bad idea... please do consider that it ultimately is also (sadly) a gesture of liabiltiy - one that's going to "cover their asses" if they wind up in court against you or someone you know ...

Yes kids now a days or not allowed to climb trees. Must wear helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads when on their bike. Just heard story on radio on way home from work that some school was talking all balls (basket balls, footballs, soccer balls, etc) away from kids at recess because they could get hurt. Not to mention that dodge ball can hurt a child's emotion if they aren't on the winning side.

Yeah, signs only work for intelligent people. Stupid people will always do Stupid things. That's why they are classified as stupid!! An intelligent person would never leave dangerous items around so that little children could do themselves harm whether there was a sign or not, it's simply not needed, because they can think. A stupid person may read the sign or not, and then wonder what it meant, and probably think it was a sign for someone else.
