I was looking at buying this battery pack because so many reports were favorable. I searched around trying to find a good deal. Markarich told me he got a great deal his local Bestbuy. Their web site showed they were out of stock online and on sale for $49.99. i decided to go to my local store to see if they had some in stock.

Well I looked high and low for them in the store. I talked to 2 different salesmen asking where they might be located. I was told 2 different areas of the store to look. Then I just started browsing the entire store and found them in a completely different area than it should have been. I flagged down another salesman and asked him to check to see if the price was right (marked at $14.99). He keyed it into a register and said yes that price was right. It looked just like the model I was looking for so I grabbed 2 of them and purchased them.

When I got home I opened one of them up and noticed the model number was k38021. I got a bad feeling that I didn't get what I thought I did. I looked at the specs in the manual, it stated the 1800 mAh battery output was 5v at 1 amp. Shucks I had bought something I won't be able to use. But, I hooked it up and did a test, it worked perfectly. I looked at the specs printed on the battery itself and it shows output 5.0 volts at 1.5 amps. Wow, I did get the good deal I thought I had. I paid $29.98 for 2 of these Kensington k38021us battery packs. The list price was $59.95 for this model. The one I wanted to buyexact s was the k33396us which retails for $69.95 but has the exact same specs as the one I bought.

Just thought I would share this.

Kevin

PS, I looked closer at the printing on the back of the battery. The 2 I bought have both model numbers on them k33396us and k38021us
