If anyone was going to have problems, I was sure it was going to be *me* I have 2 ehpro kayfuns and they are both working perfectly. The third should be delivered today.

My first working build is still going strong. I dry burn and rewick every time I change flavors or see the coil and cotton looking gunky.

My "boughetto" plastic nano tanks have never leaked - I check the O-ring placement before I screw anything back together...

We need pictures sloth! :)

I mysteriously lost the chimney on my second unit. Mota sent me the link to buy replacement parts and they came yesterday. SO...

I'm trying to re-assemble the unit and I notice the *top* part (the piece the drip tip pops into) doesn't fit! I stare at it...
I take the chimney off my good unit and sit it next to the new one. I stare at them
Something is wrong here...

I call my BF into the room and he looks at it. He looks at the original top part (the one I lost the chimney for) and says "I don't think you need a chimney with this". What? Then he pulls on something... the original chimney was sitting in the top piece

So now I have a nice new pink/purple tank on my second kayfun, spare parts and a new entire unit coming today. hahahah oh man...

Congrats on your Reo sloth! I've been thinking about it... I'm not quite there... yet :) I swore I'd get another provari because I love mine so much. I just got the MVP2 and sheesh for such an inexpensive little box I'm really impressed! So maybe... just maybe - the Reo may end up on my short list :)

Happy Friday everyone :vapor:

Ahhh ok, now we're getting somewhere. I concur with my co-advisors, you need more cotton in there. And the coil is upside down. And the cotton looks smushed flat on the sides of the base. The wicks I was having problems with, looked exactly like that. Progress!

Crap @ coil...hahaha. I did it correct my first coil but wasn't watching the video and kinda forgot what I was doing this time around x.x

I'm confused - i thought the wick was supposed to be pushed up against that wall? ...no?

do I need to redo the coil? how bad is it what does mounting it like this do?

Thanks - all done on the REO front, got a REO Grand LP, LP Reomizer, some back up stuff including repair kit, 3 AW IMR 18650 batteries, and i actually went with a nitecore intellicharger i4 with a car adapter. Pretty freakin' stoked about it. I'm expecting a long delivery time and that's totally fine :)

It may be - I've thought about trying to drill the air passages a bit, but I'm terrified of it lol

Congrats on the reo!
Sounds like you did your research and have everything covered. It should ship next week and you can access tracking through pp. :D

You can push the wick up against the wall but dont smush it flat. Like I said, I didnt have very good luck wicking mine like this.

First, you are heating the coil from the top down and second ( and this is where a lot of people make the mistake) there is no need to "smash" the wick down against the insulator blocks. You simply need to gently tamp it enough to get it to clear the air channels. The longer the wick the more absorption. I will post another picture of mine. Note that the wick is making good contact with the floor of the base.

sorry, still not clear as to whether i have to recoil before rewicking. should I recoil first and try to get them under instead?

Yep!.........And after you do, use your bit to raise the coil by gently pulling straight up. Check and make sure that the legs are not touching the insulator blocks. If they are, use a small precision screwdriver or a thin bladed pocket knife under them to just raise them enough for clearance.

First off I wanted to say good luck with your KFL build. I really hope it works out well for you.

However, I must say that I am SO very excited to hear that you have decided on the REO!!!
I have been vaping for almost a year now and the most complex equipment I had used was a ProVari and a cartotank. Not exciting at all. I was terrified of building coils. I thought there was no way on earth that someone as accident prone and non mechanical as me could ever build a coil.
Then I started hanging out on the NT forum. That's when it all started. I started hearing A LOT about REOs and I asked a few questions.
Everyone was so awesome and told me to just jump in and try it.
I did.
Wow. It was so freaking easy. My very first coil worked amazingly well and it was a breeze to wick. I literally just mushed down some Koh Gen Do cotton and threaded it through. That was it. It was vape heaven. No messing with it, no tinkering, nothing. I just re-wick when I change flavors (it takes literally 30 seconds) and I change the coil about once a month. It doesn't get any easier to get the best flavor I have ever had!!

I can't wait for your REO to arrive!!

If you do not have any Koh Gen Do cotton let me know- I can send you a few pads to get you started (one pad has lasted me over 2 months and I'm not even half way through it yet!)
It is the absolute easiest to wick with. And it's organic.

Good luck and ENJOY!!!

where do you get it? I could just order some :) doubt it's very much

my only regret is not ordering the batteries priority mail, b/c the REO has already shipped LOL

Working on coil right now for KFL :)

Koh Gen Do can be bought at Sephora online or b-glowing.com. It cost $12 + shipping (which they always charge WAY too much for!!) You can also find it at the mall in Barneys or Neiman Marcus for the same price minus the shipping.
I love it because it is so easy to use. All you have to do is cut a small strip off and pull apart the width you want. I keep the rest of the pad in a zip loc bag to keep it fresh.
I love this stuff.
My offer is still good though- if you want to try it out I would be more than happy to send you some!

Good luck with the build!!
