KGO cart / carto options?

I just got my KGO kit in the mail today. I'm trying to keep costs down so I went for the cheap version. It turns out (I'm not completely surprised here) that the cartridges that come with the kit go dry really fast. So unless I want to spend my time dripping / refilling cartridges all the time, I'll need a cartomizer system of some kind. Looking around it seemed like the V2 Vision Ego cartomizers were the best bet. I just ordered three of them. Now I'm wondering what other vapers prefer. How do some of the other less expensive 510 cartomizers compare. What are your favorites? I ordered the new cartos right away because I'm excited to get off of analogues again. But now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have gotten some opinions first. I'm trying to find out how to keep my e-cig costs down, so if there's a cheaper option I should consider it. I'm also wondering how long I can expect the cartos to last. One thing that convinced me with the Vision cartos was an online tutorial showing how to clean one out.

I get around
I've found that with cartos I have have to "top off" more often the with ego visions, just to keep the carts moist and prevent them from becoming dry. With the ego visions (stardust's) you can see exactly how much you have left. if you don't change juices often a tank might be better for you; They work by keeping the cartos wet. For me the stardust's work great I always have three or more with different flavors that way I don't get board and keep my taste buds in check.

Keeping costs down is verry hard. Me, I always want to try something new and there ALWAYS IS something new, may it be flavors and/or hardware.
Again if you are just going to vape one flavor, in the long run, your best option is a tank, may it be a jtank or even an ego 2.5ml tank. you will need to purchase cartos to have them available. now if you are switching flavors often or do not vape much you could probably get a few boge cartos (because of quality), fill them, and keep them handy, I have had one last me from 6-8 days 100% VG juice. For inexpensive cartos, they will burn out faster and you may end up needing to switch them out more often, they usually last me about 2-3 days on 100%VG juice.

All in all it's like buying a car. You have that first initial investment, then the maintence, it is up to you what you decide that you need.

I agree with HPloco. A big part of your decision will depend on how your priorities fall between performance, convenience and to a lesser extent cost. For me, and what seems to be a consensus, for performance it's Atty's (dripping, toss the cartridges and don't look back), cartos, and then clearos. But for convenience, it's about exactly the opposite.

I can't speak much about the cost as I'm at the tail end of overspending on finding my favorite flavors, equipment, dabbling in DIY, etc. My impression is that there's not much long term cost difference between the three big options compared to getting caught up in buying mods, tanks, etc.

I travel and am out quite a bit, so convenience rules. Clearos have become my mainstay. The CE4s (visions/stardusts/the ones you have) are, for me, terrific. I've heard there are better performing products (E1, etc), but these were the first I found that I liked and will probably use up the ones I have before trying more. For the kgo, I stick with the lower resistance ones and keep them wet to prevent burning. The CE5 rebuildables are tempting because you can replace the coil and wick for just a couple bucks, but it's not enough savings to mean much. The CE6 is a big step backwards. They have wicking, priming, cracking and leaking issues. By the time I burn through the CE4s I have they'll probably be up to CE10.

There's something to be said for keeping a stash of cartos and attys around. I use attys a lot for sampling flavors, trying them again after they've steeped, DIY, etc. I still have a bunch of cartos left over from before finding clearos. They're great and I use them, but I find that I cant keep track of which are half used, burnt out, just filled, etc. When out and about, Cartos are great for handing out my latest DIY concoction or keeping mooches at bay (a bigger concern as I keep converting friends and coworkers to vaping).

Lastly, I do have a few tanks and find I pretty much use one. It's great for that one special flavor that I know I want around all of the time, but I don't take it outside much.

Enjoy the kgo, not only a great performer, but a sexy combo with the CE4.

I can't speak on the clearomizers, as I just recently purchased my first ones myself, and have yet to try them.

What I can tell you is that purchasing a J Tank, from electronicstix.com, for about $20 is a good investment to make. It is really convenient to only have to fill up once a day, and each drag you take is like hitting a freshly filled cartomizer. It's a really good option if you have a favorite juice or don't mind vaping one all day long.
It also seems to make my cartomizers last longer ( a week +).
As far as cartomizers go, boge or smoktech are the best route to take IMO. I have used both and they are quality. I just recently bought some ressurectors (smoktech 1.7ohm XL single coil) per the advice of one sailorman, and am anxious to try them in my J Tank. Crystal Clear Vaping has a deal where you buy 3 - 5 packs for around $7 a piece and they throw in a free drip tip. Plus they have free shipping!

Personally, I use the volt clearomizer and x2, but its the same thing as the vision ego clearomizer, just with 808 threading. Personally, I love them. They don't leak, are easy to fill and easy to clean. Just be careful of the juices you use. There are a few juices that will crack them, mostly cinnamon and high acid ones

I can't really speak to saving money on cartos etc. I got the 15/20.00 deal on boge 510's at Crystal Clear Vaping, and found I really don't like the poly fill cartos. My first stardusts on in transit along with some phoenix's. However, (stop me if you've heard this), vapedudes has a great deal on juice. Their FB page has a code on it where they're send you a free 10 ml bottle of your choice. I think I had to pay a nickel just to check out. Then you can get 40% off on an order of any size really. 3.00 flat rate shipping. I just got 120 mls of various juices for 42.00 Hoping that arrives today! But really, I don't know if you can keep ecig costs down.

Oh, and gotvapes has newer stardusts (like what you bought) that aren't supposed to crack with acidic juices. Other places may have them too, not sure.
