And how's this for a kicker. BBC America has advertised a "new" spin-off of Dr. Who.
I'm a big fan of Dr. Who - It started the same year I was born, ya know.
so... I set my DVR to record it, but also wanted to add it to my KODI, in case the DVR messed up (as it sometimes does).
so, looking for
CLASS(2017)
and there is only a
CLASS(2016)
checked, and it's the very same "new" first episode as on BBC-A, but there are already 8 episodes on KODI...
Guess what I'm watching this coming weekend?

OK - I want to find a tv series to watch on KODI. It's no on 1Channel, which I use the most.
How do I find out WHERE I can go to find it?

If it's not on the general streaming services such as Hulu or Netflix, it's doubtful anyone has paid to have it streamed.

That's a hint.

Yes, we're dead serious about attempts to skirt copyright laws. It shall not be discussed here.

Try Exodus or Specto. I find most on Exodus the next day. And the old ones from way back are there too. As long as there is no mention of names of the shows or movies it's not considered copyright infringement we are just talking about addons for Kodi. They are not illegal as long as you don't download them just stream. At least not yet. Zen is also good they all have the same streams pretty much though. If talking about addons was illegal half of FB would be shut down.

Retired,

Seriously, not to be disrespectful in any way, but we sure could use some ECF 'boundaries' (aka discussion guidelines, as opposed to a perceived 'blanket ban') here in this thread. Coupling an app/site/add-on/copyrighted material, I can see as a possible 'mine field'. But what about suggesting an add-on vs.a viable on-line site/source vs. a streaming app (i.e. the free Kodi)?

If the application is designed to filch copyrighted content without paying for it, it's verboten. Same with addons and websites that are designed solely to get around copyright restrictions.

Now... If the addon or application is designed for obtaining content that's in the public domain (and it's verifiable as public domain and not subject to existing copyright laws), then it's fair game. However, discussing how to modify those applications/addons to obtain copyrighted content will not be permitted.

I know we (I) probably talked about this before .. KODI in and of itself is a perfectly legal app designed to manage your digital content .. it, essentially, is an app that turns an ordinary PC into a HTPC .. (Home Theater PC) .. as well as Music management, etc .. that was and is it's purpose in life .. and, it does an excellent job of it ..

That said, the push by the VPN providers is not just a money grab (although most pitch a VPN as a scare tactic) .. and, the major ISP's are all near full development of software that can crack your VPN .. this push is no different than when peer to peer music became all the rage with Napster .. (Remember that .. ??) .. the VPN providers have seen a nice cash windfall due to the rise of KODI .. and, you can bet, the content providers are not sitting on their heels on the sidelines as it relates to "free streams" ..

Point being :: I'm of the opinion that KODI as a legit app will stay what it is .. however, the add-on's that allow any peer to peer sharing, etc, will continue to be targeted by copy write holders / ISP's ..

If you want to read further on the legalities .. I would suggest ::
