Kidney stones?

I few years ago I suffered from kidney stones. Not the nice semi rounded calcium stones but the jagged ouch stones made of uric acids.

I was consuming not enough water, not enough vegies, coffee by the gallon and chain smoking a chimney to shame.

Anyone with kidney stone issues have an increased instance of stones while vaping pg or vg?
esp pg due to lactic acid build up.

I had a stone 12 years ago and passed another last year. Still have a 2mm waiting to torture me on the right side. :(

Same as you, they are the uric acid spike balls that drop you to the floor for 4 hours at a time. Good times! 8-o

Anyway, I don't think we are ingesting enough PG to have an effect and my frequency of stones is so sparce I doubt I would be able to blame any in the future on PG. Unless they get to be a regular thing.

Ya the spike balls of bleeding YEAOUCH! more like napalm dipped razor blades, rolled in broken glass misery.

I don't roll on the floor I pray for death, but the worst part is when they hit and tear near the end and you get that none so gentle reminder that something is NOT right.

I am getting the feeling I might be up for another passing of torture soon. Most likely not from vaping but the huge amount of relifin and advil I was on recently.

LOL right? Suckers get into the ureter and start giving you those occasional "Hey dude, still here!" pokes.

I don't like thinking about the final stage of departure. Makes my doodlebobbers try to go back to where they came from. 8-o

The Radiologist told, that's all he does, is look for stones, there has been so many with this problem, they opened up a department special for this and that's all he does now, is look for stone and tell everybody he meets the same thing, he said, in hopes of reaching people.

He told me, "to be honest with you, I would be out of a job, if people would simply drink a full glass of water in the mornings when then get up. He said, that is all it takes, to prevent stones from ever forming. Water flushes the kidneys and prevents crystals from forming.

He was an older man, and he told me, he'd really like to be able to retire one day, and said at the beginning, he only had a few a day, and sometimes, he got to stay home all day, even 2 days in a row. He laughed and told me, But at this rate, he said, I'll never retire,

He also told me, that drinking alot of soda pop can cause crystals to form, especially if a person doesn't drink water. He said ppl make the mistake of assuming we get enough water, in our diet for other things, and if enough time goes by without it, crystals start to form and he said they can even be seen on the underclothes, and even if a person cetches it then and starts a habit of drinking a glass of water upon rising each the morning, it can be reversed.

another sign he said, is a sharp piercing pain that goes diagnally from your back where the kidneys are, diagonally down towards the groin, that increases over time wiht intensity.

I have noticed, twinges in my back, kidney area, whenever I don't drink water daily, it's like a warning. I have also noticed that when I was using PG I was waking up with extremely dry mouth, dry eyes, so I just keep a bottle of water next to the bed now, so I don't have to get up in the night, and have no excuse not to drink it. Lol.

Drinking Gatorade once in awhile and mixing my own liquid using only VG, unflavored nic, and faeries finest flavoring instead of using the pre-mixed e-liquid that is straight PG has helped with this, too.

I LOVE ME SOME LIPTON ICE TEA in the summer!!
If I drink to much, and or increase pork intake it floors me in a few days.

I also drink tons of coffee, been cutting back on the coffee and increasing green tea for the PTB!
But really noticing the twinges with more straight heavy pg vape sessions.

Going ecopure for base and flavorings then. Also reducing pg.

My Dad and I both have kidney stones. I haven't had them nearly as bad as he has, but the urologist told him that drinking crystal light will help as the citric acid in the drink seems to have an effect of breaking them down. I've been drinking crystal light instead of pop for a while now, and haven't had any issues. I have had the pain in my sides (you know what I'm talking about), but it hasn't been nearly as frequent as it was when I was working in a warehouse sweating like crazy all day long.

All up in your grill..
Mac, are your stones Uric or Calcified, or that other type I cant remember. I know the doc said to me to not even think about trying to diet control the issues outside of increased water intake. The stuff that causes my stones is in everything and to try and eliminate it would cause a malnutrition issue.

I would say uric, since I don't consume much in the way of dairy. But the doctor never said specifically. He did say that it was one of the worst ones he ever saw and they had to operate to get it out. Man that was a rough week.

Ahhh kidney stones....nothing quite like having a volkswagon drive out the end of your jollybagger. I used to get them all the time since i was 17, would get them once sometimes twice a month, although mine were calcium based they still had the jagged characteristics of the acid stones. Largest one i was able to pass was about half the size of a pea, the pain is indescribeable, and unless you have actually had one then i don't think you could truely understand just how bad it gets. And the moment it pops out the pain is gone...actually i think it is just deminished so much that you don't even notice the small amount of pain. Then a friend of mine told me to try something, now this is not a sales pitch for some homemade cure or anything like that, and i am not sure if it works for acid stones, only the calcium based stones. Apparently calcium is a very hard mineral for the body to absorb, to properly absorb it it requires magnesium and zinc, he told me go to walgreens (Or other local drug store) and buy some calcium magnesium and zinc supplements, over the counter no prescription needed. I been taking 2 each moring when i wake up, and it has now been over 6 years since i have had any stones. Coincidence? Maybe, but i am gonna keep taking those little gems as long as it keeps the Mack truck out of the compact car parking spot.

I have passed about 5 or 6 so far about 1 every 5 years or so.Mine are so small the pain never hits until it is already passed. But when it does hit it is the kind of pain that makes one sweat like a garden hose and so intense that I often vomit. It takes a good 6 hours for the pain to really subside and the first two hours are just horrific. Just talking about it brings about fear.

I got rid of an 8mm stone in January, very painfully I might add, with a procedure called Lithotripsy. It was either that or surgery for me. After the procedure, the nurse who took care of me advised me to drink lemon juice. Not lemonade...lemon juice (RealLemon, etc). I did a bunch of reading up on this and, sure enough...many people report the same thing. Lemon juice works by actually dissolving or softening the stones into small enough particles that they pass, most of the time, with no pain at all. It seems the magic measurement is 1/2 cup of lemon juice per day. What I do is pour out a half cup of the juice in the morning and keep adding it to my water during the day. When it is gone, I know I am done with it. Yes, it's sour, but you honestly get used to the taste of it quickly.

We should start a kidney stone club. lol Someone once told me that pain of passing one was worse than childbirth and I laughed thinking there was no way that was possible. Now I know better. 8-o
