I took the 510 adapter off the Terminator screwed it on to a long barrel HH357 and slipped it into a Smok Pyrex DCT and now I have a poor mans AMP tank. This works better then the original AMP tank.
Has anyone else tried this?

Did you drill out the air holes on the HH357? They are not nearly as big as the holes in the Cisco-Spec attys that ship with the AMP, or the holes in the Terminator. I know several folks with AMPs and when they tried to run an HH357 in it, it didn't feed very well, until they enlarged the air holes.

Of course, I guess the 510 extension from the Terminator might fix this without having to drill...

That's really strange as I've read and heard claims that the holes in the HH.357 are bigger than those on the Cisco Spec and that it feeds better in the AMP Tank. I can personally vouch for that and comparing the holes on both of them right now, they are larger on my HH.357.

Interesting - I'll accept that.

Avid Vaper sells a tool (essentially a drill bit) to widen the holes in the threading (which I've never seen in stock) because I believe they recommend a larger hole for juice flow in the AMP Tank. I have so many Cisco Spec attys that I can't tell which one came with the AMP Tank. I used EmpireMods, Cisco Specs, and an HH.357 in my AMP Tank before I recently sold it (to almost cover my purchase of three Divers), and I think they performed in that order with my recently purchased custom HH.357 working the best.

So let me get this straight...

Some sausage-fingered scotsman can't do a rebuild on a unit that needs tiny coils made from thin wire (but is being built every day by the thousands, by illiterate Chinese slave labor with no troubles) and it's the DEVICE'S fault that he can't wrap his thick fingers (and thicker head) around this device?

Yeah, that makes sense...

I have a bunch of CE2 ceramics and I love that I can make a pile of wicks and coils and use them interchangeably on my Killer, Divers, and Terminator. I'm not sure why Todd had so much trouble in this area. I did take a chip out of the installed ceramic trying to get it off the post and I did have to sand the pin in order to fit replacements. I imagine that SmokTech would prefer that you purchase their replacement units.

I have a bunch of cheap DCT tanks and tips like the ones that come with the Terminator and don't use them, but for a $10 item, who can complain? The material is cheap and the tank is wobbly, but I haven't had any bad hits or problems with connectivity like Todd (and I have the juice control all the way open).

I personally have no regrets about what I've invested in my other atomizers and I think the Terminator is a much cheaper mass produced lower quality ripoff, but SmokTech did a good job copying it and I've had nothing but great vaping with mine. I figured that I would just pack it away or throw it away if it sucked, but it doesn't. For $10 I would definitely encourage the uninitiated tank cartomizer vapers who are unlikely to shell out a wad of money on an unfamiliar Greek website to try one.

Interesting theory, but I have yet to see a single vendor that sells the Terminator that is offering the ceramic cups or pre-built "heads" for sale...

If you use a locking tank like the X8, the AGR or the AMP, it doesn't wobble. And you can get the X8 from FastTech for under $8 each...

Or you can get them in 5-packs from VapingCraze for under $17 (and don't forget to by the 510 extender--they are not included in the 5-packs), and put one in every tank you own!

Just imagine the beauty of a world where you never have to punch another carto again... ;-)

Yeah - if I wasn't clear, I think that SmokTech wants people to buy the 5-pack replacements and I imagine that a lot of people don't want to rebuild and will buy them. Personally, I'm really enjoying making and wrapping my nr-r-nr coils and expect to get a lot of mileage out of my single Terminator.

has anybody seen scottish reviewer todd's review on this item?? or am i late to the party here?

That's not a review.

He's basing his dislike on the fact he had problems rebuilding it -I sanded the pin that the ceramic cup fits into, now it's really easy to take the ceramics out and put them in again. I rebuilt two yesterday - took me about 5 minutes.

I used to respect Todd's opinions but after watching that "review" I've unsubscribed and won't watch anything else he reviews.

I'll reiterate what I've said about this device - one of the best things I've used since I started vaping.

Any "reviewer" who disables comments on a FB video as a matter of course, isn't reviewer--he's a self-anointed "authority", and IMO not deserving of my viewing time...

    Todd,

Your reviews are normally quite balanced but by not doing a genuine review you did yourself a disservice - not to mention the possible loss of sales of the vendors that stock this.

It wouldn't be such a bad thing except for the fact there's a lot of people that think this is a great piece of kit.

And there is a lot of people that think it is a terrible bit of kit :)

It's my opinion, I state that loud as I can every time, go watch other reviews, read other peoples opinions and never base your purchase on one persons opinion.

I stick to my opinion, I'm allowed it just as much as you are and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

As for loss of sales, not my concern, I'm more interested in the consumers.

Here's a picture of my SmokTech Bolt w/ Evolv Kick and a SmokTech Terminator in a 22mm XL OCD tank:
    Bolt+Terminator-1.jpg

If the Sigelei Kick co-op takes off and delivers, then with the exception of the tank and AW IMR battery, it will be all clone.
