ive done 3 rebuilds so far on my TTs. on the first one i broke my lead that goes inside the ceramic by trying to fit the pin all the way inside the ceramic- this is not needed. just the first part of the pin needs to be snug, the fatter part of the pin does not need to be inserted and jammed into the ceramic. the pin will be floaty, but once you attach the juice control adapter it snugs everything up because the pin in the adapter is spring-loaded. my second build must have had a short because i got a gnarly metallic taste from it. third build = success. pure tasty vapor. no leaks, no shorts.
i have found that the joining of the nr to r wire needs to be short. you cant have a huge twisted mess and still expect the wires to fit nicely inside that little cup. i did a twist-join but first i did try the larks-head join, which is difficult to do IMO. its not easy getting that join right where you want it, nor is it easy getting the larks-head started in the first place- especially with wires rather than what knots are typically tied with: string/rope. but i will practice more because avoiding the jumbled twist-join would be a big plus.
thankfully, i havent encountered a soapy taste with mine, nor has my chrome plating worn off on any of my 5 TTs. i hope this doesnt change, but i appreciate the heads-up.

The replacements are so cheap that you should just bin them when they're done - we're talking 50 Cents more than a carto, I used to try to boil cartos when I first started - got to realize it was just too much hassle in the end.
The TT's are great straight out of the pack (once the soapy taste goes) I personally wouldn't use them any longer than the life of the coil due to the plating coming off -God knows what's underneath the chrome.
As far as the vape is concerned, they're just as good as the Killer - Killer coils even have the same soapy taste at the start.
