Howdy, folks.

I just started vaping 3 days ago. I went through a little bit of trial and error but I finally found the right nicotine level for me. At least for now anyway.

I've read a lot of comments on here from people who give up analogs altogether within a day or two after they start vaping. I am really enjoying the vaping experience and I can honestly say that I like E-Cigs much better than analogs. There are so many advantages.

Trouble is, I haven't really lost much of my cravings for analogs. I was hoping that those cravings would go away pretty quick since I like vaping so much more than analogs. I keep firing up an analog every couple hours or so because I feel like I just have to have one.

I got into vaping primarily because I want to get off of the analogs altogether but I also want to take advantage of the monetary savings. This means that I want to keep things simple. I don't want to get caught up in all the mods and various upgrades.

The kit that I chose was a TECECIG kit that I picked up at the local mall and paid too much for. I'm OK with the initial cost even though I know I could have gotten the same basic kit elsewhere for much cheaper. Here's a photo of my kit just for the heck of it:

I know these TECEGIC kits are frowned upon by many but I'm happy with it and I'm not looking for advice on a substitute at this time.

My questions are: Will my analog cravings ever go away? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

Thank you so much.

I used to smoke these and had the same problem. I would invest in something along the lines of the eGo-T starter kit, which is what I use currently and try a flavor that is not a tobacco flavor. For example, think of a dessert you might like and see if you can find the juice that matches that flavor (they are out there). This will help because when you go to smoke a real cigarette it will taste disgusting. For me personally, I stopped smoking analogs within 2 days. I had only been smoking for 7 years, but I found it was more of a routine thing for me that I was missing.

Another thing I did so that it didn't feel like I was forgetting to smoke my cigarette is I would take my ecig with me to the garage, where we smoke, and sit in there for a bit vaping so that it still felt like I was keeping with my routine. Sounds silly but it worked for me. I wish you the best of luck and please don't give up, vaping is truly worth it once you get past the frustrations at the beginning

You need to make sure the nic level is right for you. Many of us have a higher nic level for stressful times or when the craving hits. All in all don't expect too much too soon...if you want a smoke just have one and don't stress out over "perfection". One day you'll wake up and either not want an analog or forget to have one. I believe and always will believe the journey should be stress free regardless of the route we take.
Realize also the analog chems take about 2 weeks to flush out of your system.
Wishing You the Very Best of Luck

Most people need eliquid with a nicotine level of 18mg - 24mg to transition successfully to vaping.

But what is interesting is you say you are happy with the kit you bought but that it isn't "cutting it". Along with making sure you have the right level of nic in your eliquid, I would suggest you re-evaluate you choice in kits.

Rule of Thumb: generally, the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

I struggled with a 510 style setup and analogs for quite a while. It wasn't until I found a screaming deal on an eGo-T style setup that I was well motivated to stay away from analogs. I took my time putting down the analogs, about a week and a half. I found myself craving them less and less by having a quality PV setup. I smoked my last analog a little over a week ago and just didn't feel the need to go to the Tobacconist. And yes I still reach for a smoke when I jump in my truck or climb down off a ladder, but I don't freak out like used to when I was attempting with a 510 setup.

Sorry to tell you, but as long as you are Happy with something that is not Working, you will be in a struggle.
Been right where you are and fully understand.
Started with M401 - mini e-cig
Moved to 510 type in under a week, while struggling a bit not to look back
After a few days I realized the issue, found ECF, did some research and ordered some EGO type gear (wholesale) from China

Battled my cravings for a few weeks until the new gear arrived. First Vape on the new equipment and I KNEW I was done with Cigs.

Problem with most(maybe 99%) Cig-a-likes is you only get that GOOD Hit on the first draw in nay session. every draw afterward deminishes exponentially due to poor wicking - Fluid/Nic loss at coil.
After setting for a while, the cycle starts over.
Problem is that is NOT how we smoked. You need an equitable replacement to old habit.
Cig-a-like Power is another concern. Little reserve and low amperage output along with higher resistance coils to extend battery life.

Trust me when I say - A simple single Ego with an Evod and 1 bottle of decent e-liquid would quickly change your outlook on equipment and Success in walking away from Smokes.

Most people need eliquid with a nicotine level of 18mg - 24mg to transition successfully to vaping.

Should read: Most people Think they need eliquid with a nicotine level of 18mg - 24mg to transition successfully to vaping.
Fact is if you are using 18mg, and like it on a 510 cartridge type, a better system may blow you away with 12mg.

Everything comes down to personal equipment and need. What is good for one is NOT the answer for ALL.

I found that using a kit similar to yours I also wanted an analog as if I wasn't vaping. I switched my kit to an ego fat battery type with a clearomizer since that switch I haven't smoked an analog in 22 days no problem. I did for .....s and giggles take a drag of one last night. It was quite gross dry and off putting all together. Upgrade the kit you will not be disappointed.

Thank you all for the support. I certainly do appreciate it.

I started with 24mg Tobacco because I smoke Marlboro Reds and that is what the associate recommended. Those hurt my throat when I inhaled so I went back and exchanged my cartomizers for 16mg Tobacco. I picked up one 16mg Cherry flavored cart while I was there just to try something different.

The 16mg Tobacco carts were still too strong. The 16mg Cherry was still too strong but it was better. I went back again and exchanged them for 11mg Cherry and I also picked up a 11mg Grape.

11mg seems to be my comfort zone. They are not hard on my throat yet I still get a good throat hit.

Sounds like I just need to be patient and give it some more time. I still have 6 1/2 packs of Marlboro's left. Hopefully. I will be off of those by the time they are gone or sooner.

Thanks again for the support. Glad I came here.

Welcome, and I want to offer my .02 for what it's worth. Find your nicotine level. Once you have that, you won't be craving the nicotine from the analogs. The rest is psychological and the vapor and exhale of a pv should help that.

Next best advice that I can give you is get rid of your analogs. Seriously. Don't keep a pack as your back up plan to vaping in an "Oh crap I'm out of juice!" moment. Because you'll defeat your purpose of getting off them by being on them even for a short while. If they're not there you won't be tempted.

Make sure you have juice and batteries. Plan for the "Oh crap!" moments the same way you did with analogs.

Stay on the forums if even to read for the support. We're all here for you and want to see you succeed!

The mistake many people make is trying to treat it like it's a real cigarette. Try drawing in, and holding the vapor in your mouth for a few seconds. It helps sometimes to "French inhale", if you can. Nicotine from vapor is absorbed differently than cancer sticks. Hang in ther, as there IS a learning curve to vaping.

Thank you all for the support. I certainly do appreciate it.

I tried to quit three times with similar kits to the one you got and ultimately went back to analogs within a few weeks. This time I got a quality eGo Twist with some good tanks/carto's, lots of tasty ejuice and never looked back. What I found is if the experience wasn't good enough to not want another analog, it won't work..... It's been over a month and I can't stand the thought of an analog nor can I stand next to people smoking - it just smells terrible. I have since then wanted MORE and upgraded to an eVic (best 100.00 I spent) for tanks and a mechanical for dripping (love to drip while working) which has kept me from going back to those stinkies!

I know people get crazy here when people recommend Provaris and such but I can't tell you how important the delivery device is to ensuring you don't go back. With all of the money I spent trying "the next upgrade from my last device" I could have bought two Provaris and still saved some cash.

Don't give up but make sure you find what works the best for YOU.

I was a cigar smoker, so my nicotine intake was around 92-112mg daily. After trying Vivi Nova Mini, Kanger T3, and Kanger T2 I settled in on the T2. The VNM and the T2 have comparable warmth and production, the T2 has less leakage issues do to less parts. I use a 70%PG 30%VG 24mg EC Blend Flavors liquid and am starting to mix in 18mg liquid. The combination of the T2 and 70/30 prduces a nice warm vapor with just the right amount of throat hit and vapor. Another thing that I want to point out that Nicotine not bonded with Co2 does not absorb well through the lungs, it is imperative to hold the vape in your mouth and exhale through the nose, as this will maximize your nicotine intake while vaping.

Folks THINK the time they need an analog the most is after meals, after sex, or when they first wake up, etc...
Truth is, when you need a smoke the MOST, is when you run out of smokes!!! If you don't buy them, you CAN'T smoke em--PERIOD!!
So, when you run out, and that URGE to go get some hits you, THATS when you vape your ... off till you get over it!!!
Otherwise, vape as you would normally smoke, butttt, when it comes time to by smokes, VAAPE-VAPE-VAPE!!!
In a few days, you'll forget its time to buy smokes and then the FUN begins!!
Good Luck!!

Of course the cravings will go away. It just takes time. You have to get all the chemicals out of your system.Vaping wont give you all the crap that cigs have in em. Give it time. But you aren't helping the process by smoking a real cig every couple of hours.

He is soooooo right a couple of days ago I woke up wanting an analog really bad.
So just give it time it will pass....
