Kinda feeling like the most outcast person here reading some of the threads! (friendly, just joking, just saying hi)

:p

Seeing as I not only got a cig-a-like kit to start and like it (V2 cigs), but was also technically a non-smoker (haven't smoked in 3+ years, so maybe an ex-smoker is more accurate) who decided to take it back up just because I wanted to. I got mostly 0 nic carts but also got some .6 nic ones too. I was always a pretty casual smoker before, I'd smoke a pack or two during times when I wanted to "party" such as out at bars, then not smoke again for a year. I quit completely when I stopped going out to places to drink, and haven't wanted one since except for maybe a time or two when I'd smell intense smoke smell on someone (never got people who threw the coughing fits near this, it always smelled like "home" to me, even though my parents never smoked). Reading some threads with "never vape if you don't smoke!" and all the talk from people who are really really enthused about big battery life and deep throat hits where they hate the cig-a-likes has me wondering if I should post here. ;) But I'm sure you all are friendly enough so thought I'd say hi anyway. I promise not to tell the ATF I didn't do it to quit!

Cheers. :toast:

By the way thanks to places like this and the /r/electronic_cigarette subreddit for pushing me away from the snazzy marketing of Blu. I was gonna get their starter kit with the "social features" and all but then I read how much everyone hated it and tried one of their disposables to test it out, which tasted like a burning battery and not much else, and did a bit more research before settling. Dodged an 80+ dollar bullet there, so thanks.

ETA: Changed the title because it was making me self conscious that I was coming across like a whiny little brat.

I'm with you 100% on this. My view is perhaps a bit controversial but you, in being someone who has smoked, have a choice now. In the pre-ecig world, your only choice in this situation would have been to pick up the smokes again. I think we all agree that the best choice is to leave both ecigs AND analogs alone. But that's not how it works for most people. So the fact the ecigs exist mean that you now have a healthier option available to you.

If you are just looking for the sensation of smoking and don't care about throat hit, I recommend you stick to 0 nic juice. There's no need getting re-addicted if you don't have to. If you DO want throat hit, go for it though. Whatever keeps you from ever picking up another analog again is fine with me.

Thanks for the reply. I will likely stay mostly off the nic. I am fairly easy to ween off of most addictive substances (except for caffeine, I think I'll have that one for life). I've already had some nic from the disposable Blu I had to test out how these things worked, but that's been three days ago. Even if I do smoke nics on these though, I won't be going above .6, my body just doesn't need it that bad even when I've had it recently.

actually not all of us :D I went to an e-pipe because I wanted to replace tobacco, not stop. I was a smoker and now I'm a vaper. I like it and have no intention of stopping. I'm anticipating more taxes on in, but I will keep on vaping.
