I'll ditto everything said here. I quit some 70 odd days ago, and even though I've had a cig (2, in fact) since then, they tasted horrible. I started with over-the-counter eGo style kits, but got tired of tossing clearomizer when I burnt out the coils. 2 weeks ago, I bought an eLeaf iStick 20, 2 Anyvape Davide BDC tanks, and a Kamry K1000 e-pipe. I dropped about $85 on that, and another $25 on a juice sampler pack. I'm good for a while now...

I can't say enough good about the eLeaf iStick, but I think I should have sprung for the 30 watt so I could have more options down the road. I'm very pleased with the Davide BDC tanks as they are glass, can be fully disassembled for cleaning and maintenance, and can take Aspire or Kanger coils.

That said, this can be an expensive hobby if you try to keep up with everything. Even though I'm happy with what I bought, I keep looking and have accidentally [emoji4] purchased 3 more tanks since then...

Congrats on your decision to try to kick the habit. I see some talk of nautilus tanks here and personally I think they make great starter-mid range tanks. You can't beat the flavour they produce for the price imo. They are indeed pyrex tanks and you can also buy spare tanks made from stainless steel, or even a hybrid tank with pyrex covered in a stainless steel mesh for better protection.
I haven't broken one yet (I have two of the full sized nautilus tanks), but one of my friends broke two so far. Though he is pretty clumsy and hard on his gear.

Welcome to ECF and good luck!

Nautilus mini and an iStick. I've been vaping for several months (about 6) and this setup is what I use everyday. I was having bad luck with a certain brand of juice burning up my coils in the nautilus. Like a coil a day. I almost gave up on it and switched juices, now coils last well over a week. At this rate, vaping will finally be cheaper than smoking. Just remember, always have a backup, and don't give up on it. There are so many options available to suit your needs. I wish I would have skipped the ego(pen like) batteries and went straight to the iStick. I would also recommend the Innokin MVP 2.0. Kind of limited on power now days (max 11 watts) but I have one and I use it all the time. Definitely worth the money.

al, you could always start with a simple unit like the spinner 2, and then use it as a backup when you upgrade. I don't enjoy spending other peoples money, so you have to take everyone's advice. I am convinced you will like vape well enough to be done with the tobacco, just find the nicotine level you need. It takes about 2 1/2 hours for the Spinner to recharge, it's a lot of down time without vape.

I am holding out on the 50 (or another more expensive brand) because it will allow growth into sub ohm coils and tanks should I desire to go there.

Just about every one of the suppliers from the forum site in my first post have "starter kits". You might find something there that will work tilll you upgrade.
I'm waiting on the 50watt istick, also. What kind of tank are you thinking of using on it? I was thinking a Kanger Subtank would be nice. Have you heard negative reviews on the 30watt istick? The only thing I've heard is that the threading on the 20watt wears out quickly; I hope they've solved this problem on the new models. Spinners are on sale for $20 at Sweet-Vapes, but that's for the 1300mah, not the Spinner 2.

wow they make a 50W one also. this month is going to be tight on the budget cause of extra bills thats coming out, but one good thing is that if this vaping thing works out i wont be spending money on tobacco :)
When I first started to vape I got something that was $20+ e juice that came out to be $28 it was good but not great than got one for $40 joytech vv for got the model [emoji28]. It was definitely better than $20 one but still I was smoking ( Smoked pack to 1 1/2 pack a day) than I was just smoking and thought vape wasn't for me. One day my friend was vaping on a mech mod and asked me if I wanted to try and I told him that I wouldn't like it but what the hell I gave it a last try. And holly sh@$' I liked it vape was warm and the flavor was great. It was Christmas time so he just gave me his (atomic RDA / Panzer MOD) he told me it was authentic and if I gave it out he'll kick my ..... anyways I know you're in a tight budget but I wish u can save up and get something good. One other friend started to vape so I've got him aspire atlantis with sigilei 100w+ it runs about $140 to $150 +18650 X 4 and a charger = $200. One thing I found out was getting a cheap mod + tank I've keep going back to cigarette. Than I buy one higher than what I bought when I could've got something good and not wasted money one that one I don't even look it.
PS. I've been vaping for a bit over a month cut down on cigarette to 1 per every 5-6 day from a pack to 1 1/2 pack

I set my parents and brother-in-law up with a Kanger ipow 2 (variable wattage spinner) and a Nautilus Mini tank. The ipow 2 is 1600 mah, so you'll last all day on it. Another option for the battery would be an eleaf iStick 20W or 30W if you prefer something that isn't tube style..

Sweet-Vapes.com has really good prices on all this stuff. Shipping is just under $6 and you get it in 2 days. I just ordered another setup for my parents. 2 Nautilus Mini tanks, an ipow 2, and a 5 pack of coils cost me $93 shipped and was here quick. If you only got one tank you would be in your budget area.

Best of luck!

EDIT: Also worth mentioning is that the ipow 2 comes with a 510 / ego adapter if you want to use something that has an ego fitting.
