Used a 2.2ohm wow carto as usual on this test, and this time used they were fresh off the slim line charger. Will include the previous results on each batt as well to make it a bit easier on everyone. :)

Shorty #1
4.2 at start (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.18 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.16 (36min), 4.10 (45min), 4.05 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.02 (72min), 4.0 (81min), 3.98 (90min), 3.97 (99min), 3.94 (108min), 3.88 (117min), 3.73 (126min), 2 minutes later flash city

Shorty #1 (after 77 charges)
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.17 (27min), 4.16 (36min), 4.09 (45min), 4.04 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.02 (72min), 4.0 (81min), 3.99 (90min), 3.95 (99min), 3.93 (108min), 3.87 (117min), 3.71 (126min), 1 minute later recharge time

Shorty #1 (after 158 charges)
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.15 (36min), 4.08 (45min), 4.04 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 4.0 (81min), 3.99 (90min), 3.94 (99min), 3.93 (108min), 3.87 (117min), 3.71 (126min), 2 puffs later was time to recharge.

Shorty #2
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.2 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.14 (36min), 4.11 (45min), 4.02 (54min), 4.01 (63min), 4.0 (72min), 3.97 (81min), 3.95 (90min), 3.91 (99min), 3.89 (108min), 3.86 (117min), 6 minutes later flashes (only deep cycle the batt ever had, for the orginal test).

Shorty #2 (after 81 charges)
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.15 (36min), 4.12 (45min), 4.03 (54min), 4.0 (63min), 4.0 (72min), 3.98 (81min), 3.94 (90min), 3.90 (99min), 3.88 (108min), 3.86 (117min), 5 minutes later major vapor decrease, recharged.

Shorty #2 (after 163 recharges)
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.17 (36min), 4.13 (45min), 4.04 (54min), 4.0 (63min), 4.0 (72min), 3.97 (81min), 3.93 (90min), 3.90 (99min), 3.88 (108min), 3.87 (117min), 4 minutes later vapor production fell off, so on the charger it went

No major changes, though the second batt had better numbers this time around using the new slim charger. Will be doing a second test on it in a few days seeing if this was an anomaly or if not deep cycling and using the slim line charger really makes (however slight) a difference.

Stealths:

Shorty #1

Shorty #2 (after 178 charges)
4.2 at start (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.17 (27min), 4.15 (36min), 4.14 (45min), 4.12 (54min), 4.09 (63min), 4.08 (72min), 4.08 (81min), 4.05 (90min), 4.03 (99min), 4.01 (108min), 3.89 (117min), 3.74 (126min), stopped there knowing it would soon be at it's dead point.

Again we see little change, but slightly better numbers using a batt that hasn't been deep cycled and the slim charger. Hope this helps someone. :)

No problem at Wader sir, enjoy doing them. :)

Oddly enough Ms. Keelalagirl, my organization is through chaos. My wife complains constantly about the all the scraps of paper around my night stand. It's not until they get logged in the computer they start looking even somewhat ordered. To most people out would seem just gibberish followed by numbers. :)

Thank you Morandir, sir. Outstanding information! If I may... your post reminded me of a question. After all your research, I'm hoping you're the one who'll know the answer! {{{hugs}}}

I remember when I bought my first cordless phone (gotta love Radio Shack!) they told me to let the battery run out - and then give it a full charge. Do you think that same principle holds true for these batt's too? I wonder if charging - even though the battery is still working/semi charged - is hurting it's life span? (I hope that made sense!) ;) Would you suggest letting the batteries "blink" before charging? I find I'm re-charging, even though they're still fine-ish, just to be on the safe side. (ha... yes, I was a girl scout - always prepared!)

Ah-ha! :) I knew you'd know the answer! Thank you sooooo much Morandir, sir!

So, it looks like I'll keep being a Girl Scout, and charge before I notice any change. I guess I'm a little more "challenged" than most, since I'm only able to vape all PG. (little or no vapor)

Gosh, I'm sorry I missed your earlier post. We need to have Morandir835 test sticky at the top of the forum. {{{hugs}}}

Let me just toss my :2c: in Wintering. NiCad batteries often get confused with Lithium Ion batteries when it comes to deep cycling (the battery fully draining to receive a full charge).

It would be great to have a full set of all your tests Morandir. Opinions are great, but I love numbers and they are the real proof in the pudding. Any way you could put them all together and post them, this way I could have permanent link and new tests could be added along the way.

:thumbs: For all you do, we're lucky to have you! :thumbs:

Ms. Wintering it's best not to let them hit the blinking status before charging them. Here's another test I did showing just how much of a life span diffrence you get out of the manuals by avoiding deep cycling them:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...le-how-many-charges-regular-manuals-last.html

There's a huge gap in longevity. :) Hope this helps.

Morandir, sir .... if I may follow up with another battery / charger question.....

Please tell me if you see something questionable with what I occasionally need to do. I will start charging a battery, when the phone rings and I have to dash out. I will unplug the charger & battery from the wall, since I've read a few of the horror stories. The charger still shows a red light, so I know it's not yet fully charged. When I return and re-plug the charger / battery into the wall .... it shows green / fully charged. This has happened a few times, so I'm wondering if I'm 'hurting' my battery before it's fully cooked?

Yes and no, don't think you're hurting your battery Ms. Wintering (save wasting a charge cycle lowering it's life span), though could be messing with the logic chip on either the battery or on the charger itself. Leaving it plugged in won't hurt it unless you're doing so for more than 24 hours. Seems like the issues with them killing batts is at the start, not during the charging.

Morandir, sir .... if anyone hasn't told you today yet ..... YOU ROCK! Thank you so much. I always assumed I should unplug the charger/battery if I wasn't close by and awake. But now, after your expert advice, I know I can safely leave it charging when I have to leave the house, or it's bedtime. Thank you so much! Maybe now, my batteries will live a long and fullfilling life! ;)
