Dragging in after dark. Dusty, dirty, tired to the bone.

Long hot shower.

Dinner of tossed salad with ranch dressing, one inch stuffed pork chop, macaroni and cheese, apple pie a la mode.

Steaming hot espresso.

Kick back in recliner, sip of espresso, long draw on King Diamond manual with Peacemaker cart.

Sighs.

Power goes out.

Pitch black.

Think left electric lantern in garage, but may break neck trying to find.

Another long pull on King Diamond.

Whole room lights up.

Light bulb goes off in head.

Stands, pushes King Diamond button and make way to the garage.

Find lantern, turn it on and release button on King Diamond.

Moral of story.

You better have a fist full of King Diamond manuals close by because they just may save your life.

What color is the tip? Some do give off more light than others. The green light is much brighter than the purple for example. I've even used them to light up the inside of my purse to find stuff. How long did the outage last, Rick? It's never too soon to plan how to survive several days of no power and vape during it. Finding the flashlight/lantern is the easy part!

I was using an Xtra long King Diamond with blue LED. I also have an auto standard diamond with white LED. The blue LED outshines the white LED hands down.

The outage was was less than an hour. I am no stranger to power outages since I live in the hurricane zone. I was right in the eye of Katrina; therefore, I do quite a bit of planning each year during the hurricane season. I have added King Diamond to my hurricane locker.

Read this today at work. Then went out, into the cold, cold Omaha winter and discovered that I had a flat tire. Okay - I'm a man, I can change a tire. But I could not get the jack out the place it was stashed in my trunk, and I could not see to tell if there was something holding it in.
Then I remembered this post, pulled out my XL Diamond, took of the cart, hit the button - and lo - there was light.
Still took me an hour to change the tire (about 20 degrees out - wind chill makes it feel like 10). Wore that XL Diamond light out, though :) Got the blinky light trying to chain vape some Smilin Menthol on the drive home. That's okay - it was worth it.
Thanks Rick, for the idea.

Now that is advice I will happily take! :) Just need to convince hubs what a necessity these new diamond manuals are!

Since most men don't like to shop tell him you want a King Diamond flashlight for Christmas. You have already picked it out and will go ahead and order it freeing him up to do other things.
