They arrived saturday, sadly didn't get to start putting them through the paces until sunday.... This is by no means complete, and have only gotten a chance to test the voltages on the shorty gold with red batt (the Emperor himself), but have tried one of each size to get a feel for them....
Emperor voltages on a 2.2ohm wow carto
4.2 at start (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.19 (18min), 4.18 (27min), 4.16 (36min), 4.10 (45min), 4.04 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 4.0 (81min), 3.98 (90min), 3.97 (99min), 3.94 (108min), 3.88 (117min), 3.71 (126min), 2 puffs later flashes.
He runs very hot at first, and like with all other tests with batts of smiliar numbers I've run so far drops rather abruptly at the end.
The biggest difference between the two versions is the draw. It's much improved on the v2 compared to the originals, especially in the larger batts. The xl hits as good as the original kd shorties in all my tests so far. I have not encountered any of the post issues that the originals were plauged with thus far either. The only problem is that of a sticky switch, had one stealth v2 give me this issue, and 2 kd v2's. Unlike with v1 where the best method was smacking the batt on the edge of a desk to get it working again, these simply require you to pull the post up to where it's even (or even slightly above) the rim around it. After that it fires like new again. Very small issue, with a very simple and quick fix to boot.
All in all, these are the best kr808's I've dealt with so far. Will be doing a full voltage test run on all types with wow's and cool carts, and a second comparison with the kloog batt this friday (along with testing a diffrent horizontal coil carto on them from a diffrent vendor). I hope it won't bother anyone if I post that review here in the family chat this time.
