Hello all, this is exactly the thread I've been looking for!! Atsirk, I don't live far from the Sports Page, and have lunched there many times...(and you are correct, it IS cheesy there, but they make a mean grilled cheese sandwich that I dip in salsa...really buttery and wonderful, just like my Mom's!) But that was all before I started vaping. I'll have to go there for lunch with the girls next time we go. Won't they be surprised when I start vaping right at the table in front of them! (of course, I'll ask the bartender first) They are all smokers, and I've tried to explain the beauty of these to them, but they all still look at me weird. I guess it would look better to them if I could stop smoking altogether, but I'm having issues. I have only been vaping off and on for the last four months, trying to figure out why I can't stop the analogs. But I'm working on it, and I know I've at least cut back on smoking.
I went to the bar at Big Red's on Scholl's Ferry a month or two ago, and asked the barmaid if I could vape. I showed her my KR808 and she actually had heard about e-cigs. She said sure, it was slow and we had the bar to ourselves pretty much, so I did. I didn't blow vapor all over the place, and was discreet about it...she came back over later to check on us and asked me if I'd changed my mind about vaping. I told her I'd been vaping happily for some time, but was done and had put it back in the case. She asked to see it again, and then started telling me her mother was trying to quit and had been looking into e-cigs as an alternative. I gave her one of the V4L cards I had with me, and wrote down the ECF web address on the back. It was pretty cool, but I wouldn't try to vape in the restaurant side, just the bar side.
