I used to recommend a standard 510 kit, but tend to recommend an eGo/Tornado kit now. As far as recommending a mod as a first kit, I tend not to as it is a personal thing. Plus, when one starts vaping, they may not actually stick with it. If you stopped, I guess you could sell the mod relatively quick right here. I have a few mods, more then what is listed in my sig, but I still find the Tornado/eGo with 510 catomizers or 510 atomizers (w/highping's mod) to be a very satisfying vape. The only thing I don't like about an eGo/Tornado is the cost of spare batteries and that is why I like my mods more. However, the eGo's design of dropping the voltage down to ~3.2v makes the 510 not harsh at all IMO and may make it worth it to some.

I would get a GG Telescopic Storm and a AFS-V2. That is if I had $312.00 to spend on a PV.
For that kind of money the maker should fly over to the US and personally tutor me in how to use the AFS at least.

I've spent over $4000 in PV's and supplies. I've tried most all the mods out there. There are only 2 that I use daily:

Big Chuck (6): Custom Graphics, Excellent Customer Service
GGTS (2) (1 GGSS): The Best Mod Built to Date, user friendly

I only wish I had found them both before I spent a ton money looking for the right thing for me. Now, I have no need to buy anything but carto's and juice.

Those are my go-to mods as well Grammie. I love my Chuck for the personalization, and my GGTS for the utility.

If I had known before I bought thousands of dollars of other mods, I would have done things differently. Those mods pay for themselves, despite the investment.

I have no regrets though, really. Enjoyed the learning curve of going through several mods, just wish I wasn't out so much money on the way up :D

For the price the Chuck sure seems to be the deal.

I know what I am not buying, that's anything with proprietary batteries!!!

I won one of the new Megalodons (from the makers of the Mako), I'll let people know how well that goes. Hopefully there isn't a whole lot of hassle with the O rings but I'm sure it's going to be great no matter what. Untill then I will just keep token on a 5 volt box mod. Two 14500's get's me through a whole day.

I can suggest a mod that I've used constantly over the last 7 months, and that's the PureSmoker Protege.

I've spent close to $2800 on mods, batteries, and atties and nothing has beaten this mod as my take-and-vape-everywhere favorite--even when I had a stubborn Stainless Steel mechanical button on one.

Another exceptional mod is the GGTS. It can be a bit bulky (depending on the configuration), but you CAN NOT beat the versatility and bulletproof performance of this e-cig.

$312.00 is equal to 5 weeks of smokng regular cigarettes (my previous costs for my habit).

Hardly the bank buster, especially considering what you get for that money.

If I had it to do all over again I certainly wouldn't have spent 6 weeks fiddling with all those cartridge-filler ideas. My space is swamped with all sorts of fluvally-foamy stuff, white, blue, buff-puffs, teabags, straws, pipe-screens, etc.

Cartomizers are great, economical, easily filled and both the KR808's and the 510's work very well for me.

+ a million

Though.... now I just drip on 510's. But I'm never going back to stuffing and filling carts again. I would strongly advise cartos or dripping.

If I were to do it over again? I wound not have waited so long!

I also would have skipped the 901 kit I bought along with the 501 kit.

But, But, those 2 'cheap' kits got me off analogs. I've now moved on to eGo's and a Silver Bullet. All within 3 weeks. Everyone's preference's and needs are different.

As of now, I am happy with my SB with a eGo as backup. I still have the 510 & 901 parts as backup.

If I would have started with a SB or eGo, I might not be able to appreciate them as much.

The learning curve is a needed thing, we learn from our experiences or we are doomed to repeat them. If we don't repeat them, we end up with a box of spare / un-used parts, that we recycle in new and imaginative ways.
