I have done this and I felt it worked pretty good, but it does make a kr808 obnoxiously long (especially on an XL). I used the 2.6ohm variant. The one caveat with this setup is that if you are running a gen1 KR808, be VERY conscious about dripping through the center pole. I used an 808 to 510 adapter so I had a small buffer of protection which seemed to help. The gen2 units should be "safer" for this type of setup as they relocated the intake holes to the side as opposed to down the middle.

I use these practically exclusively aside from iturbos. I run them on V4L diamonds, gen 2s, and Echos. They are my favorite cartomizer hands down. And I *never* get any leaking. Talk to me if you have issues. I endorse these babies over all others.

EDIT: I use the 'mod' where you ditch the lowest silicone piece, use the middle one as the bottom piece, fluff the wick, and insert a drip tip or use a regular/included cartomizer tip.

Wouldn't want to use an auto battery since the fluxies can leak a bit down the middle

Am I just lucky?

Mine never leak. Ever. If they sit for a while, and a take a drag without a battery attached, I'll hear a quick gurgle, and then it'll be gone. I trust the fluxos as I've modded them just as much as a regular carto.

I just bought a bunch if 808 CE2's from MVS. I also toss that lowest silicon piece, it's just a pain in the A**, and use the middle one in its place. I had a problem with the wick breaking off at the ceramic cup on two of them, but I suspect it was from messing with them after using it for a bit. All in all, I like them much better than cartos, there really worth the slight tinkering that most people do, IMHO.

I've snapped wick as well

As long as there is a little bit of wick on each side, they will still work. In fact some report them working better with short wicks. It just means you have to make sure to vape horizontal

I've also frayed and thinned out wicks from messing around too much, and to be honest it seems to improve things a bit. I wouldn't do that on purpose though unless you're a real cowboy.

I vape high VG (40-75%) so YMMV

Also, if you cut both of your wicks, do NOT throw them away

1) harvest for parts. This things can be re wicked, re coiled, used as an atomizer for dripping, and with proper cleaning and dry burning will last as long as the coil does (that's a long time unless you're abusive)

2) you can also do the PTB mod, where you take a snipped lipton pyramid tea bag (ONLY this type) and place two long pieces against the side where the wick was. Some report improved wicking with this mod. There is a video on this, if you're interested I'll find the link. Or you can just youtube it.

3) As above, even with severely shortened wicks, they still work great. Just make sure you go horizontal before inhaling/hitting your button.

4) If one wick is fine and the other is clipped, you can GENTLY turn the wick in the direction of the strands and push (from the long side) through the coils, feeding the wick through until the sides are even. You will shear the wick a bit, but it doesn't matter. You can also rotate the cup a bit before doing this, which will loosen the pull of the wires on the coils, and open the coils up to a larger caliber to minimize wick shearing as you push through

As I told Charlz, finally managed to completely rebuild one of these yesterday at 2.0 ohms, new wick, new coil, no solder. Its a BEAST

never throw anything out!

There's less juice waste with shorter wicks and much less mess when you need to take them apart. If you feel the wick has gotten too short, you can lay the broken part or any extra wick over the top of the coil if it's longer than the remaining wick. It's easy to set it aside with a pair of tweezers when it's time to clean.

As Cyrus said, you need to get used to more horizontal vaping or tipping the clearo as the level gets low or you get dry hits but dry hits are easier to deal with than over wicking and drippiness.

And dry hits are easier to deal with on a fluxo than they are with a carto, e.g. you don't have to carry a juice bottle around

Get the XLs and that 1.8 mls will last you as long as 1.8 mls can. Even when you can't see any juice in the fluxo at all, good tipping and paced vaping can get you every last drop of juice in that thing

Oh ya, I forgot about the tea bag mod. I'll have to give this one a try.
I have been experimenting with some different VG/PG juice ratios. I prefer high VG juice too. Even with 100% VG juice, I really don't have any problems with dry hits. I do keep my PV horizontal and tip it up frequently, that just Standard Operating Procedure for me now.

Wicks wick. It's what they do. There's a fine line between perfection and disaster and VG can be a bit clingy. Seems thin wicks work better with VG because they give up the juice better but they also need to soak it in for a moment. (and a fractured split wick helps)
PG seems to do better with shorter, fatter wicks because it only takes a second to soak the wick, but if the wick is too thin, it will just drip off.

The Visions seem to work ok either way with short wicks because they trap juice at the coil due to the tapering shell but I'm going to try a single wick instead of a double next time I rewick one to try it with high vg
