Yes, I too would be interested in an alternative source. I'm having trouble locating your reference.

I did just get some of the .44 mag ammo boxes and they work for both KR808 and 510 cartomizers. Still searching for one to hold all my KR808 batteries vertically, but haven't found the right height yet.

They were the cheapest at Cabelas.com. Checked ammoboxes.com, Midway, and eBay. Most places have UPS shipping as the only option, and it was about $10. Cabelas had regular USPS priority for about $6 I believe. And they are good and thick. I also bought two more that were slightly too small for cartos with the rubber condoms on, so if anyone needs ammo boxes for actual ammo, PM me and you can have them for a small donation to my favorite charity.

Please let us know that link if you have time. Thanks.

This is what i use for cartos.

The carto box: Frankford Arsenal Flip-Top Ammo Box #507 41 Remington Magnum, 44 Remington Magnum, 45 Colt (Long Colt) 50-Round Plastic - MidwayUSA

Here is one that might work for your batteries: Frankford Arsenal Flip-Top Ammo Box #510 25-06 Remington, 270 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield 50-Round Plastic - MidwayUSA

There are measurements on the site, so be sure to measure before ordering. If you have a sportsman warehouse around you, they have a re-loading section and sell the boxes there. I think I paid $1.99 plus tax.

These look like a perfect solution to all the cartos I have lying around. Has anyone found one that uses flat rate shipping? Most seem to have inflated their priority mail a good bit (I assume for handling).

Wish I was a bit further south with MuttSRT. Our BassPro is closed still from the flooding. Guess I'll have to check out some gun suppliers and see if they have anything similar.

I saw those too but noticed the shipping cost once again. I just don't see why shipping is so expensive for an item that weighs that little. Certainly it has a bit of bulk, but priority rates would be around $5.95 tops.

Ah well, I'll keep looking. May just hit a gun store without my husband in tow. I could see the catastrophe unfolding if he went. We'd end up with an empty ammo box and a new handgun.

a kr808 battery should maybe work with some long casing rifle bullets , im thinking 25/06 for some reason , but i dont remember what the maximum swedge was for 25/06. . .

i guess it also depends on what size batteries you have. the regular and mini batteries should be easy to find an ammo size appropriate , but the 4" long XXL batteries , youre pretty much going to have to adapt a .50bmg or something...

Yes, as I posted once before, Cabelas has them, cheaper and lower shipping costs. I looked at the Midway and ammoboxes.com places, but they all use UPS and it was too high for shipping. Even eBay had many of them, shipping wasn't too bad but the price was always too high for two boxes.
