Hey allsonew, my suggestion for now would be to stick with cartos, but buy a few CE2's (is this what you are talking about??) and try them out and see if they are to your liking.

I don't know who is wanting to sell you the CE2's ... you don't provide much info, but be careful not to buy the older Revisions. For the newest ones, go to Vapor Junction.

If somebody is wanting you to buy in bulk, I don't think you want to do that the first time. You might hate them and you'd be stuck with them.

On the other hand ... my wife prefers them over everything else. Especially the clear ones.

Thanks for stepping in guy's and gal's. I prefer to leave these types of questions to the customers.

However for what it's worth, if all you have is kr808d batteries then I would get a 901(same threading as kr808d) to 510 adapter and check out the Dual Coils first. I honestly think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Will the dual coils work on "standard" 808 batts? I thought it needed to be higher mah's. I'm asking because I was getting ready to order some other cartos from VJ to put with the smaller batts for a cousin who is wanting to try vaping. If the duals will work, though, that's what I'll go with.

Just threw one on a very old V4L battery we had lying around and it works. However the vapor is cooler and not as much flavor. The mAH is battery duration between charges. Voltage is what you need. So to answer your question yes they will work. How well they work I would say is going to be preferential as some may like the cooler vape and some may not.

Hello there everyone. I have another question. Suprise, surprise. Why do some of the carts have "LR" before the style. Like on VJ's site they have LR901 carts. Is there a difference between 901 and LR901?

The following information came from Hoog over at MadVapes, and although it really bothers me to mention a supplier on another suppliers forum, I felt this was one of the better explanations I'd seen, so for you allsonew, I'm going to stick my neck way out and post it here for you.

About Low Resistance and Specific batteries

Hi folks, we've been seeing some failures with eGo, vGo and 016 batteies and low resistance atomizers/cartomizers.

The problem appears to me to be a compatibilty issue between certain batteries and atomizers.

Low resistance atomizers are meant to simulate a higher voltage device on a 3.7 volt device but there are limitations.

Low Resistance atomizers are never meant to be used with 5 volts as the wattage and current draw will be excessive as well as the atomizers/cartomizers will not last very long due to the heat produced at 5 volts. Low resistance atomizers should never be used with a 5 volt passthrough.

We're finding also that low resistance atomizers/cartomizers are causing pre-mature failures on eGo, vGo, 016 or other mosfet driven batteries. Mosfet driven devices are designed to work with 2.5 ohm or higher atomizers/cartomizers.

As an industry we sell products but can't control how they are used. eGo, vGo, 016, regular e-cig batteries and similar devices all have short circuit protection but do not account for excessive current draw which eventually weakens the components and causes failure.

A shorted cartomizer/atomizer *should* never cause a battery to fail due to the short circuit protection of the device (including protected batteries on mods). The only other states that an atomizer or cartomizer can have is that the actual resistance is either correct or the device has burnt out which would give an infinite resistance.

Shorted atomizers are actually a very rare occurance unless manufactured incorrectly.

What this means is that we can't blame a specific product for a failure. It's a combination of incompatible products that's causing premature failure of components.

The main problem is really lack of clear guidelines on use of the products and compatibilty issues.

Unfortunately low resistance devices are here and they screw in, so people will continue to use them, sometimes with undesirable results.

Just want folks to understand that low resistance atomizers/cartomizers are not defective but are sometimes being used beyond the scope of what they were meant for.

Most devices other than battery mods do not come with LR atomizers/Cartomizers as a kit. As the failures pile up, I think we'll see more warnings/guidelines with low-resistance atomizers/cartomizers and mosfet driven batteries in the near future.

just food for thought..

So, number one ... you really don't need them. The best thing you can go with right now is the duel coil (510 Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers 1.5 ohm ( Pack of 5 ) [VJDC001] - $9.95 : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply).

Also,ECF has a fine Library at: The ECF Library
where you'll find all kinds of information on vaping and is definitely worth taking a look at.

Hope this helps.

Allsonew, You are going to have people lined up in front of my house waiting to beat me on the head.

Let me say this ... I swore a long time ago that I would never buy another LR anything. Period. These are not recommended for use on devices with a voltage higher than 3.7 volts and are not recommended for use with eGo, 016 batteries, regular e-cig batteries or any mosfet driven style battery. Use with larger battery capacity mods.

You don't have a larger battery capacity mod. Forget them. LR's were designed, if I remember correctly, to mimic the 5v vaping experience at around 2.5v's.

When I first started vaping and coming to ECF I would see posts by old timers that listed about ten different variable voltage and mod units in their sig line. I thought wow, here's somebody who knows their business! They've had everything! But a month later they would be showing eleven units and a month later ... twelve. Aha, they were searching for vaping nirvana!

And today there are so many different kinds of cartos, atty's, tanks, tank mods, cartamizers, batteries, mods, variable voltage mods ... it just goes on and on.

Look, if you really want to try some LR's get a couple with your next order. My bet is you'll end up tossing them. And right now is when 50 people will jump in here and tell me how wrong I am and that I don't know what I'm talking about. And then that line will form out in front of the house. They'll probably throw atomizers at me.

You are looking for vaping nirvana aren't you? LOL, we all are. And my friend, its right here in front of your nose. It doesn't cost hundreds of dollars, has replaceable parts, replaceable batteries, and its a marriage made in heaven.

Get a Vapor Junction E-Power, some mega duel coil cartos, then kick back and let it put a smile on your face. The E-Power is 40 bucks - not hundreds. DeXTeR has excellent prices on the duel coil cartos. Win - win. Check and see if you'll need an adapter.

There it is buddy!

Thanks but right now I can not put any more money into vaping. I have spent hundreds of dollars and it's been less than two months since I started. I didn't even spend that much on analogs! Of course part of the reason for that is because I didn't do my research first, and bought my first PV from one of the mall places. The only reason I have stuck with it is because I don't want to quit now after all the money I have invested. I just need some good 808 carts. Mine don't seem to last very long after the first fillup. It seems like I am constantly filling and refilling too. It is very frustrating.

What are the ohms on these please? Thank you :)

Hi Natalia,

Haven't run into you in a while lady. How are you doing? Hope all is good.

Please forgive me ...the cartos I posted the link to at Vapor Junction Store are LR's for allsonew. I don't work for Vapor Junction (although it might look that way sometimes) and if the Store doesn't show the ohms on the site, you'd have to PM DeXTeR to find out. He's a real nice guy and would get right back to you with information.

And allsonew, now your question has completely changed, but I sent you a PM and hopefully that will help.

TT

I know he used to carry some regular 808's but he must be out.

Hey TT! I'm doing fine, thanks for asking! Hope all is well with you too! I'm all over this board, it's so addictive. 11mths and still trying everything I can afford and loving it!

DeXTeR did post the ohms for me, so SHOUT OUT to him. I'm going to have to check Vapor Junction out and see what mess I can get myself into. Good to know you're recommending them. :)

Well I'm tickled to see you here with us. Look around a bit and I know you'll recognize many of the people on here!

Regarding DeXTeR and Vapor Junction I can tell you this with all honesty. He has highly competitive prices - if not the best prices you'll find anywhere.

And the thing I like most is his Customer Care, and that's way beyond Customer Service. This man is going to make his customers happy even if it means stopping everything else and running to the Post Office right now!

To DeXTeR, a smile on your face is worth more than a dollar in his pocket.
