Alright, so i have a 901 coming and the idea of having some cartomizers around seems awesome to me. I ran across a couple of threads that said the Kr808d-1 cartomizers are compatible with the 901 battery. I just want to make sure this is true before I go and order a couple of packages. If this true, then I feel even better about ordering a 901. Cause it just means now I can use e-liquids and cartomizers on the same set. Which would make part of life a little simpler.

You'll need an adapter to accomplish the airflow for the cartomizer
DSE-901 Cartomizer Adapter

I have one that I'm using on an SD.

No - it has an atomizer, with filler and juice all encased in a metal housing... so no seperate atty and cart. It's all one unit. So once you're done you can toss it. New cartomizer, fresh atty and 'cartridge' all in one. You can refill them with juice though and keep reusing them for some time so they are really nice.

It's actually very simple to refill them. There is a white plastic cap on the top that pops off with a little screwdrive/paper clip/etc. Then there's another little rubber cap under it that comes off too. Then you can see the filler material. Just drip about 8-10 drops onto it and stick the caps back on. You'll be able to figure it out really easily once you get them. Otherwise check out some user vids for refilling cartomizers. Search is your friend!

I like the 901 atty on the 8081 batts but I don't care for the "cartomizers". I don't know what the excitement is. I just don't think they draw as well.

It is to each their own - plus I thing the Greencig cartoz draw much better than the standard ones IMHO. No matter how you slice it, it is all a matter of preference.

I also think that most people are willing to 'relearn' the draw in exchange for the convenience of refilling less often, and probably has something to do with the bit of a better throat hit. I have noticed that cartomizers definitely hit harder with lower mg than any standard model of atty / cartridge system I've tried so far (with standard voltage that is).

Take care,

Try the green cig cartridges! They are awesome. I don't really care for the regular kr808 cartomizers cause I really don't like Dekang juice and that is what they are filled with, but the green cig are different!! More vapor, much better taste and bigger...they hold more juice. :)

I totally agree on lovin' the Greencig cartoz much better... but I think the volume of juice is about the same. I've refilled LOTS of cartoz in both kinds and they both seem to hold around 25 drops. The KRs will actually get up around 30 on some of them depending on the shipment.

Take care!

Man, I can't stay away from these forums. I'm so excited for all the things I get to do with everything I ordered. To bad I have to wait a long time since all the chinese dealers are on vacation. So, another week or two, and all this just gets me more pumped dammit!

Anyhow, All of this information is great, the only other thing I can think of is I plan on eventually getting a Prodigy, and was wondering if I could still use the cardomizer on that with the 901 adapter.

Will it work the other way around? That is, will a 901 atomizer work with a KR808D-1 battery? And is an adapter necessary? [If so, where to get it?]

The reason for all these questions is that I am wowed by the description of the new extra long 380 mAh manual battery (KR808D-1) sold by Vapor4Life ... but I did not enjoy the taste* of KR808D-1 cartomizers when I used them back in June.

* Or the expense or hassle to refill. [The taste and refillability might be better with the GreenCig cartomizers, but the expense would be worse.]

I've been a very happy DSE801 user (both as a penstyle and with my Prodigy) for the past three months, but the Prodigy is a bit clunky to carry around ... and, well, I'm just up for a change of pace. The 901 atty seems straightforward to use (and I doubt it would taste bad).

So there you have it. Any replies would be appreciated!

I agree 100%%%% with :aurieok!!
I do NOT use my 901 battery anymore just my KR808 for my 901 atty's, they battery is more consistent.
I do not really like the kr808 carts either.. I blow on them, then Drip with Drews HV juice but NOTHING IMO compares to the greencarts! They are wonderful!! Drew asked you to do a review in his forums.. tell him to send you a greencart also! LOL
The expense in NO way is worse when you see the vapor, the flavor, the throat hit and how many times you can refill them , I HONESTLY have NOT killed an atty since July (but I rotate my flavors =) and not counting the 2 I ruined trying to mod them!
Also you will never get that Dekang flavor.
now the new manual batteries do not have a notch in them as the manual battery does.. this will most likely affect the way the greencig cart vapes..
Drew is now carrying the New manual batteries for kr808 cheaper than anywhere!!!With EXTENDED CUT_OFF AND EASY GLIDE BUTTON!!!!"]New manual batteries for kr808 cheaper than anywhere!!!With EXTENDED CUT_OFF AND EASY GLIDE BUTTON!!!!. I plan on buying this battery for my 901 atty's and I am going to MOD my GC's to work on them.
Hope this helps Lori B

Next order I'll be making here probably within the next month will be for kr808d-1 batteries, and probably a 10 pack of greencigs. Must try all these combos with my new toy. That is when the damn thing arrives. Have I mentioned enough that I currently am in a dislike sort of mood towards that chinese holiday?

Thank you (and laurieok and Scottbee) for that assurance about 901 attys with the KR808D-1 batteries!

That is quite a glowing endorsement of the GreenCig carts! I'm now thinking of ordering a couple 901 attys and a 10-pack of GreenCig carts ... along with V4L's extra long manual KR808D-1 battery. The folks in the V4L forum assure me that that battery will work with GreenCig carts. As an 801 user, I'm not intimidated by long. And $25 for a slender 380 mAh is impressive. That's 20 more mAh than the $84 VP1!

So that's three different suppliers I'm talking about (eSmokeyShack for the 901 attys, RockyMountainVapor being out of stock at the moment), all of whom I respect, but none of whom have the best/cheapest of everything - which is a microcosm of my view of the e-cig industry: wonderful hardware (and software) out there, but no one manufacturer or vendor has it all.
