you would need a 510 to 901 adapter(901 atties and kr808 cartos have the same thread) as mlinky said they do have the possibility of creating a short. Also I would recommend getting some LR cartos and atties as well to try out as you probably wont get the full performance of your reo with a standard resistance carto. below is a link to an adapter that SHOULD work, I have not tried it out yet tho since all my stuff is 510 threaded.

I've done it...as a test for someone else asking the question months ago.
Yes it can be done with an adapter.

There were little notches cut out that were like the notches you see on the atty connector....juice came out of those little holes which was very inconvenient for me. After I did the test and reported back, some other folks added that you could use a piece of the carto condom to slip over the holes and stop the juice from coming out. They also said using an adapter with a needle helps bypass the holes altogether. That was a R&R adapter if I remember correctly.

I agree with Rhaps - they work, but not without some fussing. I tried it early on and switched to 306 atty's in a hurry (the needle adapter wasn't readily available). I didn't care much for the native 510 cartos back then, either. But the newer 510 cartos such as the Boge LR's and the dual-coils work wonderfully - I really like them. I have about a bajillion KR8 cartos, but they'll just sit for a rainy day.

Thanks folks. Great forum for help. I've ordered some attie's, boge's, LR carto's and a pack of dual coils to try out so I should be covered. I think I will take the advice given here and stick with tried and true. After all the reading and expense, I'd go postal if I fried my mini. I'll leave the KR8 cancer look-a-like's to my wife who is trying to make the switch. I think it's all mental with her. She's never been a heavy smoker.
