KR808D1 Cartomizer/ South Beach

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forums, so I'm not allowed to post anywhere else.

I made the mistake of buying a South Beach E-Cig before I knew what I was doing. Then realizing that I wanted a smaller dose of Nicotine and it costs over $50 just to do so on South Beach's website, I looked in the forums for cartomizers that would fit my south beach smoke. I read that the KR808D1's fit, and they don't.

SO, I have an unopened 5 pack of blank cartomizers, a 5 pack of Smooth tobacco Medium (11mg) and Kamel Premium Med (11mg) from myvaporstore.com (they do not accept exchanges or refunds btw). This cost me around $23 --- would anyone want to buy these off me? I could sell them all or just one of the 5 packs (all unopened) if anyone is interested. I could sell them all for $15, or one 5 pack for $5.

Thought I would try. Otherwise they will go to waste. I also have 2 South Beach batteries if anyone is interested in them.

BTW - I now have the Joye 510 and I'm in love with it!

How much you want for your batteries?

I, too, am new to the forum. I read a couple of reviews on south beach (I think it was Jennysecigreview} and my wife and I each bought the premium, 2 battery starter kit. We also included a 15 cardomizer pac to get us into the next month and after that we will receive a 15 pac each month that is automatically charged to our credit card. This assures us that we keep the lifetime warranty in place. I ordered full flavor and my wife requested lights. We were told that when our order shipped we would be sent an email with a USPS tracking #.
4 days after order and no tracking # I call. Told our orders are 'backordered'. Then I'm told they shipped, 7 days after we order miine arrives. We share. Full flavor tastes terrible but I'll sacrifice to get the nicotine. They seem to do the trick.
Anyway, no package for my wife and we call. Again, told of 'backorders' and package is on its way. 10 days after initial order my wifes' package arrives. No batteries - just full flavor cartomizers. Called again and again we're given the 'backorder' excuse.
I just hope these people realize they are dealing with peoples money and their legal nicotine habits.
Are all cartomizers only made for original manufacturer or is there some sort of aftermarket yet?

Wow, sounds a lot like V2 all over again. Sorry for all the problems you guys have had. Many, many, many of us have been through these same issues. I have read so many posts like this and it is very unfortunate that there are vendors out there trying to take advantage of people trying to quite analogs before they find a great forum like ECF to help steer them away from scam companies.
There are so many lower cost, good alternatives for e-cigs and personal vaporizers. As soon as you get your post count up to 5, you can look up forum registered suppliers. You can trust these vendors to give you good suggestions on great e-gigs and supplies. There are so many great options today.

There are plenty of aftermarket cartos available for most battery types, depending on which model your battery is. First, try to find out what your battery model is (when you get it...hopefully very soon), then just check around for cartos that are designed for your battery's threading. If you're able to, you may want to cancel the order completely, and order a KR808D1 from Vapor4life. They have good batteries, and there are tons of excellent blank and prefilled cartos from many companies to order from later on.

Since you'll probably be stuck with those cartos, you could get an adapter to fit your new battery to your existing carto's threading, and still use them. Adaptors work pretty well for that purpose. Lecig.com sells lots of adaptors.

I have been in touch with South Beach and they have been accommodating by replacing the full flavor cartridges sent in error and my wifes' batteries arrived. We like the product and look forward to receiving the variety pack for flavor experimentation. I'm still debating if South Beach is the most economical choice.

goodprophet is where I get my adapters from, they are only $0.99 each and shipping charges are very cheap as well.

Does the South Beach look like it should fit the cartos (same diameter, same gender) but the threading is wrong? If so then it's possible it's KR808D-2 (the ripoff rebrander fave 2-piece). If you do have a KR808D-2 then leCig sells D2 battery to D1 carto adapters and vice versa. Goodprophets does not sell any adapters for for D2 and as far as I know leCig is the only place that does.

It's worth buying the D2 to D1 adapter and seeing if that does the trick, because if that will let you use KR808D-1 cartos then you could use all of the nice blanks and the Vapor4Life prefilled ones.

You can go to South Beach Cigs website and buy a battery at whatever ripoff price they charge

If it's a 3-piece with female battery, if 9mm+ diameter it might be an RN4081 - VaporKings.com or AZSMokeFree.com have stuff

If it's a 2-piece with male battery it might be KR808D-2 - try some cartos for that model from AZSMokeFree.com

If a 2-piece w/ female battery and 9mm+ diameter then maybe RN4081 as a 2-piece

Or give up on them and buy something reasonably priced and well-supported by many vendors

If'n it were me, I'd cancel the order, send it all back, close my credit card and get another issued. That is just what I did do for one my wife ordered a while back. A cheap pos that they charged a premium price for. We also contested the charge when we called to close out the credit card. I know it's hard to give up what you got into it, but if you can put it down as a learning experience that might help a little. Fortunately I found this place before I ordered one. Now I'm gonna get the wife a KR808D1 for $32.50 at My Vapor Store. But do what you think is best for you, stick around here and read and ask questions. Good luck and happy vaping.
