I've built my KFL a ton of times, as well as my cyclone dripper clone and both work amazingly. I figured that with how well my other atomizers were working, I would have no troubles with the kraken. Sadly, I was horribly wrong. At this point, I hate the kraken, but I know that the issue is with me and not the tank. I'm positive that once I can actually get it build right, I'm going to love it.
I've been trying for days now and no matter how I build it, the vapor is very low and it take forever to even start producing vapor. Hopefully someone can help out. I've watched hours of videos in addition to reading everything I could find here about building coils for the kraken as well as general genesis atomizers before finally giving in and starting a new post. So far I have tried both single coil and dual coil builds, each has been attempted with 28awg and 30awg kanthal, for wick I have used cotton, silica, and 440 ss mesh. So far I've completed 12 combinations of the wicks, wire, and single / dual options with varying resistance of 1.0 ohm to 2.5 ohm. I've also tried to get it working using my nemesis clone with fresh aw imr 18650 as well as using my vamo v5. The best results I have had was with dual coil at 1.8 ohm, 30awg kanthal, and mesh. I got tons of vapor in the beginning while I was pulsing to oxidize the mesh. Once it was finally oxidized and the coils were heating evenly the whole setup went to heating very slowly with little vapor again. It seems as though the only way I can get it to work is when just the first or second wrap of the coils are working because of the lack of oxidation on the mesh. As said before, I had tried silica and cotton after being frustrated with my first attempts with mesh and decided to go back to the mesh because the results were the same regardless. I figured I would just go back to mesh and get it working the way most people that I've seen use it.
Anyway, enough rambling from me, Thanks to everyone for the help in advance.
