Kraken has weird metallic taste but is wicking fine?!?

I've been using the kraken for 2 months now and have LOVED it. I do the same build pretty much all the time .6 kanthal ribbon wire 500ssmesh with 4 wraps. Turns out Great at .8-.9 ohm. But for some reason I'm getting a weird metallic taste now. It's not harsh at all and it seems like it's wicking just fine, I've done everything the same way I always do and this has never happened. My wick isn't too tight or too loose. Anyone have any ideas? Could my juice need to steep for a while? Would that be causing this taste? I did use a cotton build in a kayfun for a few days could I just not be used to mesh anymore? I can't imagine this taste has always been their and I didn't notice. Please help

in the 2 months that you have used this device, did you also stop smoking analongs?

do you use a brand new SS wick every time? or do you clean it before you rebuild?

no i switched to vaping 3 years ago and i always make a fresh wick.
