Honestly I like the black jackets over the red AW's. I get better runtime on the blacks. I'll update about the black flamejacket Trustfires when they quit on me. The red jackets in the Big Daddy, which take 2 x 18650's, only last me about 1 3/4 days.

The only advantage to the red jacket AW's are if you're using a mechanical mod because they hold the leveled charge the longest before dipping down. Other than that, I prefer other batteries for the electrical type mods.

I don't mind the adapter. It gives me a little extra sense of protection from leaking back inside the mod. I know that might sound silly but I've used these same adapters on other mods and never had juice get past them. I don't know if that would work or not with shortening it. I haven't tried other carto's just yet. I will put something different on when the bottle runs out and let you know.

For the carto's...I only screwed these one and tried drawing though them WITHOUT the adapter in place.

2.5ml dc's from COV - tight draw
standard dc's..I think these are 1.5ml stainless...kind you use in a dct map tank...tight draw

Well, I suppose some people would like this. I tried backing them off also but didn't change things. You could be right about shortening up the tubes but I wouldn't go too short or you might run into leaking. I would think if you shorten it, wouldn't you have to go to a larger catch cup like what the hog mods have on them? IDK, all I can say is I love it but I have to use an adapter to acquire the kind of draw I like but that's not an issue for me.

Feels like forever since I actually did a transparent case! 14500 Evercool Blue on Blue All you fine ladies and gents just love them black cases so it's been a couple weeks.

James

Oh yeah!! So what do you call mine... It might not light up, but I love it just the same!!

It arrived on Friday, the day B4 my B'day (Thanks!!) and I wasn't about to wait to try it out... Ha!!
I even lucked out with the batts because they sent the ones with the flames instead of the blue ones!!!
(and I'm even getting used to having the beauty ring on it  )

Red Mod-1x.JPG Red Mod-2.jpg Red Mod-3x.JPG Red Mod-4.jpg

The size is just perfect!! I have fairly small hands and can almost wrap my fingers all the way around it when I hold it in my palm... unlike my wooden box mod, which has 2 18350 batts and a 6ml bottle.

I've tried out every combo of carts, cartos and attys that I have and the little thing totally ROCKS!! I already know that my eGo's are going to be collecting dust... and I want one in every color now :2cool: LOL!!

Thanks again, James!!

(not the best pics.... sorry)

James,

I got my black VV box and it hasn't left my hand! I *LOVE* your mod! The push button is excellent and thank you for notching the 5 volt mark for me. It hits like a mac truck at 5 volts w/a standard Joye atty. The extra large drip cup works perfectly and gives me a tighter draw.

I just saw your pics of the new white one with gold buttons and that's gorgeous! Great design and that'll be my next purchase:)

Thanks so much for making these great mods,

Lori

Y'all are awesome. I'm just happy I was able to make something each of you enjoy. I don't mind doing the little extra stuff if it makes the mod more enjoyable/useable to the recipient.

Yeah I agree the 'Pearl' turned out really nice. The pot gave me some trouble gettin it to look good and work well at the same time but nothin a little sanding and effort couldn't work out.

Hey wolf, happy it's going well, when you talk about the batteries being loose is is the holder itself loose in the compartment or the batteries are loose in the holder?

Thanks for dropping in, keep me up to date on how it's going.

James

No, the holder is fine, its that the batteries are a little loose in the holder. I have been using protected ultrafire 18650s in it and sometimes they will come loose and rattle around some.
