If anyone sees this post I would appreciate any suggestions you might have for me. My little man that I got in December has apparently gone to that box mod heaven in the sky. :( I know James is no longer modding but if anyone knows of someone here on ECF that does repair please shoot me an email. I know nothing about electronics at all. The batteries are still good, the lil man just wont fire at all. Thanks and I hope all is well with you James. Give Lilly a pat for me.

Hi bully mom! Shoot James a PM. I think he'd do some troubleshooting or repair work for ya. I've been talking to him about how I messed up the 510 connection on one of my Little Man mods.

Tell us what it was doing before it stopped working.
What have you tried?
Give us all or any info that may help us diagnosis your problem.
I can't build a mod for the life of me, but I'm pretty good at fixing them.
Oh and I can't solder worth a crap............LOL

Actually all was normal except it seemed the batteries wern't lasting quite as long and sometimes I would have to kind of move the batteries around a bit to get it to fire. Almost like there was something interfering with the battery connection somewhere. Kind of like I had the batteries seated improperly or something. But tonight, I noticed it was dead and I hadn't had the new batts in very long so I checked them and they were still charged fully. Tried the freshly charged ones anyway and still no fire at all. The on and off button seems to be a tad loose if that has anything to do with it??

I so appreciate you taking the time to respond. I can't help but think this is something very trivial. This thing has been a vaping machine and I have not had the first problem with it. I did also recently purchase a provari mini and I love the new stardust cartos so I have been using an eGo adapter occasionally so I can use a stardust on my lil man. That's the only new thing I have done.

Thanks and I will check back. I would be happy to send it to someone to have a look at and pay shipping back if as well. Sure hate to loose the little guy.

I may do that done. I hate to bother him. It sounds like he has allot going on in his life and I sure don't want to bother him but I will probably send one off to him tomorrow or the next day if I can't get the little guy to fire.

How have you been hon??? I miss you guys. Thanks for posting dear. I'll let ya know if I send him a pm. Got to work tomorrow and I should have been in bed a couple of hours ago. I'm old ya know. :)

I know what ya mean, I hate bugging him too. I was just asking for advise but he kinda offered to try and fix it. The on/off on one of mine was loose so epoxied it. Maybe your loose on/off messed up a connection.

I'm still kickin' out here in the desert of NE Oregon (it ain't all green and lush!). On vacation this week but I'll be back to the grind Tuesday! How are you doin'?

I have stuff going on right now, but that by no means says I don't want to help you get your mod fixed up. A few small things to check is make sure that the metal places where the positive and negative ends of the battery are connecting are free of debris or juice. Make sure when the batteries go in they are making solid contact with both plates. Also if you can see the top of the PCB board(where all the solder dots are from wires coming in) check to make sure there's no juice or debris on that as well. If there is simply remove the batteries and you can wipe it clean with a tissue or even some alcohol if you have it(alcohol dries much faster than water and doesn't leave residue).

Hopefully we can get your unit back in working order, if none of it works then you can send it in and I'll take a look at it. It's probably something simple but things happen when an item gets a lot of use. :)

Sorry about that Done, didn't mean to skip past your post. I got sooooo excited to hear that James was going to give me a hand I didn't take the time to answer an old friend. Sorry about that!! I've tried all the suggestions and nothing is working for me so I will pm James and get an address and send lil man for a visit.

Hope you have enjoyed your vacation. I have forgotten what one feels like :(. That's by choice though. We don't leave the dog with anyone because he gets so upset and frets that we would worry the whole time we were away. I do make hubby take a trip to visit his mom in Fla. and when our boy is gone.... we will take a trip to Vegas. I'd give up vacations forever if I could keep him with us.

You would be proud of me, I even have my own multimeter and can actually use it.:D I can check regular batteries and cartos and attys. Still havent' figured out if you can check an eGo battery though. In time my friend, in time.

You take care buddy and send me a shout out sometime. I'm getting close to 9mos pretty soon and still can't believe I have not had a single analog in all this time.

James, I am sending a PM for info. Thanks dear!!

No problem bully mom, you had something bigger on your mind! Sorry you have to put Little Man in the shop with James but at least you'll have the best man for the job. I didn't like the idea of sending it to someone else very much.

I hear ya about the dog. We had to put our two chihuahuas down last August. They were both suffering health problems due to old age. I sure miss them.

Good on ya with the multimeter! The eGo batts are a little tricky. One probe down the center and one on the side. 'Course then you have to push the button too! Wonder if James could walk ya through some continuity tests or something on the mod?

Keep up the good work on the vapin'. Next thing ya know you'll have a year under your belt!

I have a couple of quick questions before the duel 18650 vv comes here.

1. Any specific way the batteries must go in? I mean, my mad vapes vv 14500 batteries are inserted in opposite directions.
2. Will it take the panasonic black 18650 high drain protected batteries? I was very interested in those batteries 18650 Li-Ion 3100mAh Protected Battery

I'm going to say it's a one up, one down setup but I'm not sure. James will probably chime in about that and the panasonic batteries. Does this mean your mod is in the mail?

Yeah it's been in the mail for a bit over a week. Should be here by the end of this week or early next week.

Sweet! Please post how it's working for you when it gets there. Hoping my 18650 ships soon, the wait is killing me!

Went back and looked at the picture of the mod showing the batteries. Then compaired it to flame batts I bought for mine. left side + up, right side + down.

Not but another day before it's on the road to Kieron, I got most of it done tonight and will finish it up tomorrow to be ready to ship out Monday. I'll show some photos tomorrow for you guys.

Should be showing up pretty quickly here for you as well Evil. I'm surprised it hasn't already found its way to you but should show for your birthday.

It's all good mate. Shipping to Australia usually takes a couple of weeks. I'm patient and I'm not to fussed on the duration it takes it's just good piece of mind that it is on the way. I've got a s..t load of juices coming either tomorrow or the next day. so I'm going to be in vaping heaven on my birth day. I must admit the mod would top it off but I hever put my hopes up as I hate let downs. Take it easy all.
