Can you do this mod but with a bottom feeder? Not sure if there's a enough room or not? I would like one in black just at 3.7v.

3.7v Box mod: $20
- 510 connection
- 2xAA battery case
- Blue 3.7v

I'm thinking you could do this with a 3xAA battery case with the bottom feeder in the middle the swith on the left and the battery on the right! Would this be possible in an all black case? I know madvapes has the 3xAA boxes for cheap.

Received my new VV14500 with meter the other day and have been rocking it this weekend.

ImageShack(TM) slideshow

This hits like a freight train. The meter works like a charm, ranges from 3.39-6.1, s'funny somewhere in the 4 range it goes from 2 decimal places to 1(?). The inside is so neat and clean, just like all of James's work.

I had asked James to fit a magnet where the screw hole is on the lower part of the door and I am glad I did. There is some side to side play on the door that might have worried me but now it doesn't bother me at all. Not to say that the door would have slipped but who knows. Anyway with the meter the only time I have to open it is to change the batteries and that's only once or twice a day.

Even though it's a 4xAA box it is still small enough to fit in my pants pocket and it seems to weigh the same as a regular VV.

I couldn't be more happier with this box. Maybe someday James can figure out how to fit it all in a 3xAA box, that is the only reason I would have to buy another one, otherwise this is my new goto pv.

Hello James, I just wanted to say those are very nice looking mods, very clean work. The 14500 Evercool VV looks to have pretty much everything I want in a mod and the price is quite reasonable. I would be very interested in purchasing one from you if you are willing and when you have the time to make it.
I have a mod that is similar and I use it all the time. In truth, I actually use it more often than some mods that cost a lot more. I like PVs like yours that are not fancy, but that are made with quality components and just plain work without a lot of fussing about. It is nice to see someone making a good quality mod, with a very nice set of features, at a reasonable price.

Hey lowboy, sorry that it took a moment to reply but I had to work a bit late this evening.

Camp, thank you for the kind words I do appreciate them. I offer all my work whenever someone wishes to purchase one, the only thing I ask is if it's a special order or something custom to allow for me to get the necessities shipped to me. I normally can make a product that evening depending on what's going on, currently I have midterms in a couple days so I've had to juggle a few things.

I am currently working on something fairly compact, a 14500 VV bottomfeeder with display, all crammed into a 4xAA box. Take your time and look through what's to offer and if there isn't something here you like, PM me and tell me what you're interested in and maybe I can come up with a little something for you.

To the others that have been with me, especially my first order and one who really made all this happen David, You have my utmost appreciation and that of all those that have gotten mods from me. Without you, I wouldn't have started this shindig and wouldn't be making wonderful things for great folks.

It's finally gonna happen!!! 790126.gif My friend transferred the $$ to my Paypal acct. so I'm good to go!!

Turns out that he was just stalling around... said that while he was proud of my accomplishment of being off tobacco for a year, he thought I was spending way too much time online here at the ECF and neglecting my other responsibilities, so wasn't going to "reward" me for it... LOL!! But he does have a point there...

So it is now a 'Birthday' present, which is on the 10th... almost a month later than I had hoped, but I'm still just as excited!!!

And now I can finally say: PM incoming!!!

You give me way too much credit. It's just amazing seeing how far your work has progressed in such a short time. I would say its due to all of your customers pushing for something a little bit different. The other box modders stay within a niche, one does bottom feeders while another doesn't. You're willing to do both and more. I know it will get confusing but it makes you stand out. Maybe your next step should be finding different enclosures as far as size or material rather than the same old battery box.

As long as you are willing to change it up and our requests don't get too outlandish you'll have a nice sideline.

Actually that's something I've often wondered, do any of the modders make a full time living just on their mods?

Keep up the good work.

I'm not real sure. I would guess that some of the folks that have been at it for quite a while and have a website and accessories and all that jazz probably run solely off it. It damn near has to because I already put in a full time week on the modding and if it gets too much more intense I'll have to look into getting a drill press or something to cut the time down a little.

Hello James,

The drip cup/atty fitting in the pictures 2+ 3:: ImageShack(TM) slideshow

It looks more recessed than the fittings in the other pics of your mods. That's the kind of fitting I love to use. Would I have to order that particular fitting or is that fitting only on that mod?

Thank you,
Lori
