ksd kmax 8th menu option??

So I've had my kmax for months, almost a year, and there was always only 7 menu options as should be. But suddenly today there's an 8th option there. I had changed the battery and was clicking through the menu when I saw it. It says something that looks like 8.NA and you can toggle between what looks like NEA and ANS. It was set on NEA. Any clue what this is? The N's look more like upside down U's. I was thinking maybe it's an option to switch between mean and rms, but I know for a fact this 8th menu was never there before today.

Sounds like it wither reset, or it was always stuck.

NEA is Mean not so good
AN5 is RMS Mode

This is a common (8th) setting on that style chip though Mean is no longer considered worth using.

Yeah, it was on NEA (mean) so I set it to rms, figuring that's what it meant, and now it's better than before that menu option showed up. Just seems strange that that option suddenly appeared. I guess the default was mean and I never had the ability to change it before.
