Just received my ksd kmax from fasttech, so far i"m loving the looks of it while it's sitting right next to my SVD =)). The functions are pretty straightforward, just like the svd except it's a one button mod. The only thing that grinds my gears is that it resets back to default when you change the battery =( Other than that a great mod with many functions for anyone who has been looking at it.

I got my bronze/black one from Fasttech on Friday. I like it a lot too. Very cool looking.
Two issues with mine at least:
1) The button action was very hard at first. So much so I thought it was defective, because I was clicking the button and nothing was happening. I think it's getting better with use though.
2) The power output seems to be higher than my Vamo. To get the same vape that I would use 7.5 watts for on my Vamo, I only have to use about a 4.5 or 5.0 on the KSD.

No battery issues though. Ive used both 18350 and 18650. Both work fine.

Anyone else experience any of these? Thanks. JD

If fasttech's model is the same that I got from vapingzone ..... if you change battery within 30 seconds it saves your settings

I agree you need to turn the power down on this mod compared to my other mods... no button issues here

Just got a bronze w/ black Kmax a few days ago from Discountvapers.com & it works great. I agree it's annoying that all the settings default when you change batteries. This thing looks kick ... with a black carto tank & copper drip tip. Vapes great! Still prefer my Sigelei Zmax V3 but the Kmax is just fine. I've already gotten a lot of compliments from people on the look of it. My only other gripe is I wish it had an oled screen but it's minor.

Yea if anyones kmax starts to get "hot" stop using it and send in a ticket to wherever vendor you bought it from xD Your definitely right Jim, compared to my SVD i have to crank up the wattage to match the power of the kmax at a lower wattage. I'm wondering if the kmax is just over shooting the target watt or the chip in it is totally different from most other mods hmmmm. Very curious but hey it's working flawlessly =)

That's kind of a hassle mgmrick having only 30 seconds before it resets. I'll just have to practice swapping batteries out like a mad man.

Oh yea loughy i've read a review saying that protected batteries either didn't work or didn't fit in the kmax, i forgot which one

I received my all chrome kmax this morning and been using it ever since. Haven't found any flaws with this one, seems to work perfect. It does crank out more than my VAMO, but it doesn't bother me none, I just turn it down to my linking. It's a solid unit. I like it a lot. Looks great and functions great as well. I've tried tanks to RDA with a 1.3 ohm single coil.... great taste and vape. Got mines from VAPORBREAK.COM.

By the way, I've tried both 18350 and 18650 with no problem. Tried protected and unprotected with no problems at all.

I was just looking at this thing on discountvapors.com... OMG, I love all the color combinations! Black chrome with red mirror?! Bronze with green mirror?!

You guys need to post some pics!

Well hello fellow Austinite!

Got my bronze/black yesterday and works fine with the 18650 protected batteries they fit really tight but they work awesome. The 18350 on the other hand is strange. It works for 5-10 min or not at all I'm not sure if the protection is kicking it off or what.... The battery still reads 3.8v when removed and if I change to the 18650 batt it works fine. And the vv/vw has to be turned way down or it tastes burnt. But I love this thing either way just wish I had a different 18350 to try:/
