I think the Kranger EVOD is glass. Basically the same as the ARO. I have a black EVOD on my itaste.

Nope, the Kanger Evod uses plastic. The Kanger ProTank 1, 2, and mini all use Pyrex glass though.

Update:

It was a pretty short run. I really liked the Kmax. I really enjoyed the variable voltage option. It fired fantastic. But tonight it separated at a joint it probably shouldn't have. Now while I'm sure I can probably fix this, I'm also sure this is probably a deal breaker for most, and rightly so.

I popped it back on tonight w/o epoxy. It's holding together, but I'm sure it's temporary until I do epoxy it.

Ok so I have had mine for a few weeks now and the sure fire 18350 protected button top battery I got from fasttech is different from the sure fire 18350 button top protected battery I got from my local B&M.... Not sure why but the FT battery is a mm or 2 longer then the other one and does not work in my kmax but the B&M one works amazingly. Ad it's protected as well...

I've been using IMR 350s with no problems. They are EH. I just got an EH 18500 from my local guy. Haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it will be fine.

I am giving these serious consideration. But I would be switching from a zmax, are these 5 amp?
It's hard to go back once u get used to that power, lol

Okay, I did ask this in another forum as well, but thought I would try here too. Can some other vendor's control head be screwed onto the tubes if the controller dies? It would be nice if I knew I could at least salvage the beautiful looking tubes if I ever have a problem!

You should beable to switch tubes I have a couple different models and the tubes look the same
