The same misunderstanding that nicotine use = smoking.

They never stop to think that using nicotine gum isn't considered "still smoking," yet it contains nicotine.

Completely illogical line of thinking that seems to still make sense to so many people.

It's like saying drinking a glass of 1% milk is just as unhealthy as eating a Blizzard from Dairy Queen because you're still consuming milk fat.
