Seems truth trumps fiction in this case; great call Mr. Young!
"E-cigarettes are more comparable to nicotine gum, patches or non-electronic smokeless cigarettes used as stop-smoking aids which also are immune to the ban, said Gavin Young of the attorney general's office."
The only thing I would add is that E Cigarettes are intended as a much safer alternative to smoking for nicotine addicted individuals who can not or choose not to give up their nicotine. FDA approved cessation products have a miserable failure rate and most addicted smokers who try that approach relapse back to deadly cigarettes. E Cigarettes remove the preponderance of the harm associated with smoking; the smoke. Kids, commuting in diesel powered school buses, are more at risk for myriad lung diseases such as asthma and cancer than nicotine addicted smokers who have switched to E Cigarettes.
As for the holier than thou Anti-E Cigarette Zealots, be careful about your banning mentality; slippery slopes can lead to banning your particular vice (addiction)!
