There is a thread around somewhere on the Robust.
I picked one up a while ago from a co-op. It has pretty much been my go-to mod since. If you're into high wattage vaping, this may not be for you; but I vape around 6-7 watts and 1 14500 EH IMR batt lasts me most of a day.
I did see a vendor offering these for $40 in the past couple of days, can't remember which one though.

It depends upon your expectations for a variable voltage device. If you plan on using standard/high resistance resistance delivery devices and not vape over 5 volts of power, it could be a satisfying PV for you. The smallish 14500 IMR battery will not last long when using low resistance atty's and using over 4.5 volts.

I considered getting a Robust when they first came on the market. I was looking for a small, light variable voltage PV for out-and-about use so that I could leave my Provari at home. I came to the conclusion that for my needs the battery just was not powerful enough. This had no bearing on the Robust itself, just the limitations of the 14500 battery.

I ended up with a Smoktech VV Gripper, which died after 7 weeks of use. I then got a Segelei/Ovale V8 which I am extremely pleased with.

PBusardo took the Robust through his usual paces, he was not satisfied with the underpowered battery either.

I have heard about the battery life not being that great due to the size of it,i also saw a video by Grimm Green where he wasn't happy due to something going on with the center pin where he wasn't getting any airflow, the main reason i am asking about it is because being as how it is smaller than most mods it would be something that might be good for when i am out.

I start out with a fresh batt on the morning and go thru 2-3 mLs of juice during the day, usually at ~6watts. I usually change out batts some time after work, vape another ml or two during the evening.
Some bottom air fed atties/cartos may have problems with the spring loaded center pin. I had a bit of this problem with my BO-6s, just put a shorty 510-510 adapter on, no more problem.
There is a 2A limit (or thereabouts), so as long as that satisfies your vaping needs, there's no beating the Robust IMO.

I have a Saber Touch and a Vamo, but I usually use the Robust.
