Lack of throat hit?

Ok, so the 3 main true tests to any juice is VTF(vapor production, throat hit, flavor). I have been vaping for over a month now and still can't ever feel and throat hit...on any juice. I have about 30 different juices from 4 different suppliers, I have probably tried half of them so far and have yet to experience any throat hit. I have also used different ratios of VG/PG, and have even added PGA(as recommended by a supplier and seen on other reviews) on some and it doesn't add any TH, just the nasty taste of Everclear. Now here is the thing..I vape at 6v with a dual coil carto. Everyone who asks to try my roughstack will cough when they first try it because they see me taking a long draw, so they do the same. The first comment is how heavy it hits their throat. For me...nothing. Could it be that my throat is just used to smoking for so many years? Does anyone else experience this?

what mg of nic are you using. in general higher mg nic will give you a harsher throat hit!

Well, if you are running a dual-coil at 6v, with 24mg juice, I think it's safe to say you just have a high tolerance for TH.

You could up the nicotine even more, to 36mg for example.

Also, you could get an adapter and use the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartos. These things are a TH monster, with the exact same juice I'd say TH is tripled compared with a standard 510 atty. And that's at 3.7v, at 6v you should have no problem getting the TH you desire. 100% PG juice will also have more TH than anything with VG in it.

EMDCC + 36mg juice + 6v should be enough TH to take down an elephant.

I forgot to add, there are also TH "additives" which I believe are mostly capsaicin.

They have juice that you can customize with extra TH, but I'm not sure if you can buy the drops by themselves. I know I've seen them other places, but can't seem to bring them up right now. If I come across them I'll post back here, or hopefully someone else will know exactly where to get the TH additives.

I too , smoked , for nearly 40 years , and still , after several months of vaping , have a hard time getting my throat hit . I too vape at 6 volts and 18 or 24 mg. I find that if I really fill my mouth with a lot of vapor , and then inhale , all at once , I get some throat hit . So your not alone . Just that your throat , is coated in steel .

i do at time and when that happens i go down to the liquer store and grab me some everclear or bacardi 151(doesnt taste as bad as everclear haha) add a few drops to my bottle of juice and BAM theres the TH...id reccomend trying this and start off with only a few drops in a 5-10ml bottle and add to your likeing...it will help the TH promise!-)

I've only been vaping for a few weeks, after 25 years of unfiltered rollies. At 3.7v with 24mg juice, I can usually get a much more satisfying throat hit than anything I got from smoking. I don't seem to get much sensation of flavour though - I'm assuming that that's dead taste buds.

I don't get any throat hit from any juice except cinnamon and menthol and its not so much a throat hit as the the burning or cooling sensation.

I'm 17 days on ecigs and still not exactly sure what "throat hit" is supposed to feel like. I know a few times I tried inhaling it like you would with "whacky tabaccy" and I sure felt that in my throat. But it's just not how I normally smoke. I drag and inhale, and I don't feel anything in my throat. Gone as high as 24 mg and still doesn't seem any different that the 6 mg I have. Maybe after 32 yrs of analogs my throat is numb?

I think the whole throat hit thing is a bit overrated.
Honestly, I don't even pay attention to it, it's mostly about the flavor for me.

The only juice that has left a 'throat hit' impression for me was NiteLiteVapor's 'Gold Rush', and for all I know it may not effect other people like it did me.

I wouldn't really sweat it if your happy with your vape as-is.

A few of my friends don't inhale their e-cigs at all, just hold the vapor in their mouth. Kind of the same idea as smoking a cigar.

Me, I'm still experimenting and reading a lot of posts about the whole process.

Strange indeed. I guess we are all different though. Depednant on the juice I tend to get a decent enough TH on any liquid I vape from 11mg to 24mg. I tend to stick to 18mg as I personally find that plenty strong enough.

I smoked a pack of 20 royals (a reasonably strong cigarette in the uk) for over 16yrs before switching to vaping. I personally use a 510 mega bat Titan setup gives plenty of TH and with CE2 clearos gives good flavour also. Though even discounting the device, my old SKYcig (BLU in states) and 16mg malboro carts on a standard super mini battery still gave a decent ish TH if a fresh cart on a full charged bat.

Menthol flavour tends to give a stronger, longer lasting TH in my experience.

Just this month I've finally been able to tell a TH. I've been vaping for 11 months. Dual coils are the way to go for just that reason. I have some juice that I don't care to run in a dual coil because the TH is too harsh. Just give it time.

Try plain vodka instead of pga and see if that helps.

I've come to realize that you can not get a TH like that of a ciggy. The TH from e juice is much milder. Also switch to 36mg nic. There is a big difference between 24mg and 36mg. And then there is the juice, some flavors just don't seem to have any TH at all. Some flavors provide more of a TH hit than others. I know how you feel. I've been searching for that good TH hit for a while. The most satisfying TH hit I've found so far has been a RY4 from Vixen Vapor (using a 5volt mod).
