Are you using Windows 7, 8 or 10?
Are you using the Windows 8 & 10 files regardless of Windows version?
Is the Laisimo showing in the com lpt port in device manager?
Have you tried different batteries?

When I click update my computer makes a noise and disconnects from the device yet it still says programming finished

Show after a reload of the firmware, and reset of the batteries just a black screen? Hmmmm might try a different computer. Have had about 15 people with the same issue and the firmware reload brought it back to life. Got a Windows 7 computer laying around?

I would try it on the other computer, I have done all my testing on a Windows 7 computer.

One other thing, attempt the run the firmware update within 10 seconds of connecting the device.

I think it's just hopeless, tried on the other pc, used yet another set of batteries and ran the update within ten seconds

Bummer. After 2 months mine is throwing random "High Battery" warnings, then locking up. Turn it off, turn it back on, and it gives "Atomizer Short", then returns to normal operation till it does it again.

My batteries are fine...all 6 pairs that work fine in my other 3 mods. My attys are fine, no shorts, no issues. It throws these stupid warnings with any combination of batts/attys. Really disappointing.
