Laptop batteries on mods

I've seen people here in the Philippines sell 18650 batteries in many colors and brands and they are known as "laptop batteries". are they really from laptop batteries? many of it is also named with brands such as Panasonic, Lenovo, Samsung, LG etc. they are very very cheap, but i don't know if they are even worth trying as I am scared if they just suddenly blow lol. some is also marked with CGR18650 which I don't know what it means. Any helps on someone who have tried them?

yes, 18650 batts are the norm for the cells in a laptop, also in electric cars, and many other rechargeable devices. we use the same batts. all the batts you listed are good batts. with that said if they are super cheap they may be conterfiet. only buy batts from a trusted vendor
