Oh yes I seen that! I couldn't get my head around on what happened with the threading. Speaking of premium carts, I been having a heck of a time with them. I haven't been using high voltage and definitely wasn't aware of them being designed differently. I been hearing of other competitors doing this as well with atomizers. I wonder how the life span will be affected by this modification.
Yeah well I've seen like 5 different 510 atties now as far as ohms and resistance goes including a lowered resistance one that goes onto a KR8 battery so it "tries to replicate" the 5V feel as far as vapor production goes (so like 2.2, standard, 3.2, 4.5, and 5.2)
and then the "premium" cartos that they dropped the resistance on so they give off more vapor (don't know what the ohms on the cartos are)...but from what I'm seeing the premiums (because people are using them like the old standard ones) are killing them much quicker (expecially if they're running them at 5V and higer) but I'm seeing people saying they're dying faster on stock KR8 batteries too...

By the way...tried a different 510 to 901 adapter on the lazer and it works just fine..the super hard draw was a problem with the adapter

I don't know sir, I just checked 3 white "premiums' and 2 red 'regulars' they came out at 3.1-3.2.Ω Maybe some of us did get an odd batch. I never had a reply from the cs about anything ever since the first message of asking what type of battery I was using, but thats about it. I'm going to see if Steve's email addy is still in my box. How are yours going?
Sweet on the laser by the way. I'm glad it's fine now.

lol that's typical..I really don't give them much of my business at all...and yeah getting replies to CS mail is iffy at best..
But theres some threads on them and how they're different inside than the regulars..and others that have reported different resistance....and now ben over at vapornine has a thread/video up about regulars vs "premiums" vs some new ones they're gonna be getting...those look like they might be promising....overall I want to like the cartomizers...I just prefer the taste on a 510..so I only use cartomizers or a KR8 when I'm at work and in some precarious situation where I don't have to worry about topping off and don't have to worry about it getting lost or totally thrashed (so far I've had one dropped from 8 floors up and a 2 ton piece of steel sat down on it, one dropped into an icy river from a bridge, and one fall out of a pocket and into a concrete footing as it was being poured..lol.... I'm hash on my PVs....and like the KR8 the least so they're generally reserved as my "disposeable" at work PV..subsequently...I'm NOT an expensive mod kinda guy...they'd be thrashed, and having to explain exactly what happened to it trying to get it warrantied would be a total hassle

lol Thats just hilarious! Oh man, I bet if there was a hell it would be to be one of your pv's! Thats incredible for all those unfortunate events to happen. If anything I'd recommend an adaptever to you. I heard from a member Truelove, that his fell into cereal and/or soup, toilets and falling 8 or so flights in between the stairs at his job and still miraculously lived and still lives. They are small enough, not the classiest but seems to be the most durable. I would even go as far to say an Sp2 should guarantee you a lifer. Sorry for the late reply, but this show Morel Orel is on the tv and it's so disturbingly enticing....very odd

I just came from the other thread and still Definitely excited that you got everything already. I was checking on your status of tracking packages and remembered for some reason international orders never stay up to date till they reach their destination and then some. From the look of them, what do ya say?

It's STAMPS.COM I think....whenever I've ordered from places that use it, tracking to Canada is more or less useless.

Regardless, using the lazermod in class, and am just having a ball with it.

Got my laser in the mail today :) It's working great!! I am glad I ordered that 901-510 adapter. I even got the 5v PT today too, so I was able to swap that out for my other PT and use the battery for the laser. It's all lining up. We were very productive today, still fixing up the camper we will be using this summer, swapped out the old roof vent for a new one today! Now I get to end my day vapin' on the new laser, have some pasta and wine! Life is sweeeeet.... btw, how long is my warranty period, just in case... hopefully I won't need it.

my end cap is empty too, so the spring must be at the top. I guess we will see if there are any future problems. I don't plan to heavily use the laser mod, as I have many other e cig parts to juggle, and don't want to burn them out all at once.

BTW, I was scrolling through other posts here in this thread, or maybe it was another one, anyway...somebody was asking about a single 10440 charger, I have one here made by DESAY, it's a little yellow charger with a built in flip up plug, nice and small, great for pocket or travel. Just thought you might want to know about it, if you are trying to add other chargers to your inventory.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. I got snagged for a bit. Yes, as time goes by and our modder keeps building, his skills progress, he wants to make the laser as simplified as possible while maintaining flawless performance. We did agree to place the spring up at the top and advise to our customers to place the battery positive side into the cap. So this way the spring is protected and not in risk of losing placement from the end cap. When he had them on the endcap, they seemed more vulnerable and just weak, plus when the battery is inserted and the cap twists down with the spring, it pushed the battery heavily into the button mechanism, disrupting the wiring.

Jam, those sound really nice. I'll look into immediately. I hate to burden you guys with universal chargers, if your only looking to use 10440 batteries. Thanks alot! :thumb:

yah..well I'm an ironworker by trade so I'm always doing stuff like walking I-beams up at heights and connecting I-beams being brought in by crane sometimes ya have to reach or force things to get em in place to be able to get te bolts where they need to be..so in a job where everything is more brute force and leverage..a delicate pv is not long for this world...cuz if it does slip and start to fall I certainly ain't going after it..I will say that the one getting cemented into that footer was definitely a "doh" moment...the best one I carry at work is possibly an eGo...in one of these tubes : Compact Multi-Purpose Contatiner to Keep Your Small Things Organized and Safe<p> - 4Sevens.Com

Ah yes, I seen these. I was always a fan of 4sevens from candlelight power forums. Do you bychance know the inner diameter of these handy little guys?

Now far be it from to act like a salesman, but reading your post and thinking back when talking to Sawlight about various extreme trades. I come to realize that I have total faith in Chameleon being very durable. It is only 1.7 oz, but also the body is 1.43mm thick, the endcap being 9mm thick, the threading pitch on the cap is 4.5mm, the button sector walls is 3.6mm and 16.1mm in length, the adapters are 8.9mm, as the top cap is 14mm with 1.67mm thickness. It is overall a very solid unit.

Thanks for the tip, I will be sure to put the battery in positive side towards the end cap. I just naturally put it in the other way, and didn't think much about it because it worked that way.

oh, and thanks for the keep2go link, I looked it up on ebay, and found a 5 pack for $11.00. They have flat lids instead of the loop lids, but that's ok, I don't think I like to dangle things very often, most things end up in my pockets or bag. Neat item though, will come in very handy.

I'm sorry Jam, I really do try to add in a little excerpt of instructions with each and every Lpv order, but it can be so easy to forget. Do you have any suggestions to where the instructions can be displayed? Really, I would like to have some sort of manual for them, but there's not much really to say about them other than the battery configuration. Thats Great about the keep2go's! I wonder if these will fit some of our products.
