Cisco--these are really great units that you are posting. What are you using to hold the threading in the cone after you take the LED out? Thanks in advance-----Sun

What makes this mod fairly simple is the inside ID of the nose cone is a press fit for a 901 atty....:)

After I bore out the nose cone to the same id the atty connector is a snug fit just add some locktite and your good to go.

The 510 was a little loose, so I built up the I.D. with some solder reamed it out and pressed the Connector in with some locktite

The entire unit is made of brass, the nose cone, the shell, the end cap, and also the laser housing. Makes for good electrical connections and the ability to solder anywhere.

Cisco---well that sure is "Mod user friendly" indeed. Think I will give one a go as that cone looks like it would be wide enough to handle an 801 thread. Thanks-----Sun

I am sure it will work Sun, the 801 and the 901 have same outside diameter on the Battery connector....:)

OK here is another one, Dse10x series atty no LED. Just trying as many different attys to see if its doable , so far so good. some are harder then others, the 510 is probably the most difficult with the 10x being right behind. So far the 901 is the easiest and I am sure the 801 would be easy also.

Very nice work Cisco. I had been contemplating those laser pointers for quite some time now. Will have to order a few to tinker with.

With the LED units, what kind of LED did you use? With a resistor? If so what ohm? Did you fix the LED to the opposite side of the tact (bottom), or same 'side'?

Thanks for the comments cekte,

I used the led PCB from a regular battery. Its nice and small and is already setup for 3.7v's with the resistor on the board. It takes up hardly any space, I mounted it right behind the tact switch, a spot of hot-melt and its good to go. Soldering is a pain but it works.

Cisco...Those are really awesome!

How long does a battery like that last?

Also, (can't resist) does it come in pink or purple? ;)

Thanks angl,

It depends on your vaping habits but probably 2-3 times longer then a regular e-cig before charging.

I comes only in the color you see, unless you want to paint it yourself...:)
