Well, I couldn't resist, it looked to perfect not to. 901 atty, no LED....
10440 battery, I think it took 30mins to make. even fits back in the original package....

Cisco--VERY nice!!! I bought a couple a couple of months back, but got side tracked and never did one this small. The 10440 does the trick for some good quick hitting. Great job and thanks for sharing.----Sun

OK maybe it was more like 35 mins....
I will definitely put up a detailed build description as soon as I can. I think it would be pretty easy for someone with some basic tools and skills. This is a mod that most anyone can do, there is no specialty tools or skills involved. All the original parts went right back in. The hardest part will probably be drilling out the cone shaped head piece and maybe some tricky soldering (not sure cause I suck at soldering)....
That Laser pointer on DX looks exactly the same. I cant confirm that its the same manufacturer so I wouldn't know if the insides are the same. The laser pointer I got was from a Chinese supplier on ebay, $4.99 and free shipping, arrived at my door in less then a week. DX orders could take up to a month.

great, i put the thing already on my DX wishlist for my next order. i hope to get my hands on 510/dura threads until i got it.

I would definitely do more 510 mods but It kills me to trash a working battery or passthrough just for the connector. Mxx series work but, because the 510 atty doesn't bottom out on the brass ring its all sloppy, I hate sloppy. I need to find an alternate 510 atty connector (along with a few hundred others...
