Last $300 im spending on setup please help

I am currently using a hana modz v3 authentic box mod with a kayfun lite plus authentic and a ipv2 with the better performing then authentic kayfun clone
and for lower ohm builds i use my magma on my nemesis clone and recently tried the taifun gt and like the kayfun way better.
I keep 2 with me at all times so i have 2 flavors.

Anyway my GF just quit analogs and is always using my mods so i need a new setup and my choices are difficult cause i cant find many reviews on what i am looking at.

The new kayfun V4 is absolutley ridiculously priced "$180" if it was normal $100 kayfun price i would buy it , and thats being generous cause my clone works way better then my authentic , i dont understand svoemestos thinking on this with all the clones out there , they should be lowering price not highering or at least keep it the same.

So obviously i have decided on a kayfun V4 clone by tobecco and that leaves me around $260 canadian for 2 18650 VTC5 and another box mod.
I was thinking a dna 40 but i want something that has awsome battery life so i want a dual 18650 mod but the problem is the only DNA 40 with dual 18650 is the insanley priced vapor flask "$300 american plus shipping"

So i need a alternative and wanted to ask you guys on something. The Vicious Ant The Variant Ti Slim 250W Box Mod looks pheonominal and looks too be my dream mod but it will cost $900 wich is obviously too much for someone too spend on a box mod but i have just learned there is a clone out there for $250 including 2 lipo batteries and the charger Variant 260 Watt Box Mod Limwell Full Clone Kit w 2 LiPo Batteries Charger | eBay

Has anyone had any experience with these vicious ant variant 250 watt clones? are the lipo batterys that come with the numerous versions good? And am i better off getting one or getting something like the ipv3 or maybe a vapor flask clone or just settling on a single 18650 dna 40 vapor shark?
The variant sure does look awsome but not sure about clones

You can get an original eLeaf Lemo for 35 bucks.

DNA 40 is brand new technology, but that's what I'm going to buy next. However, I'm in no hurry. I want to see what other mods will be outfitted with Evolv's DNA 40 board. If you can afford to wait, I'd advise that you do so. If not, VS rDNA is a great choice--but you'll still have to wait a long time. They are swamped ATM.

280 watts? Pfft. Get a 400 watt competition mod. Now that's vaping!

I think the sigelei 150w will be available next week. You didn't really tell us what you're looking for though. If you just want the most watts possible, then the variant clone is probably your best bet. But as victor clearly said, 260watt is just for professional vapers.

yep... dna 40 is a winner because you both Temp Protection (Ni200 wire) and have a DNA40watt function with conventional kanthal/nichrome.

Ha ha love that vid. but you can see that even if you KNEW how to do high wattage vaping (unlike the reviewer), who is going to go that high?
But also notice that Variant only goes to 6 volts... What I like about DNA mods is the high voltage capacity.

So... do you or your GF (whoever is using this mod) intend on using the temp control functions of the DNA40? If not then I see no point in getting it. You can pick up an authentic DNA30 used for fairly cheap. Or a higher wattage device for cheaper than a DNA40.

Is battery life that really big of a deal if you're going to be using a Kayfun? I can knock out about 10mL of juice on one VTC5 before I need to charge it. Also if you're going for battery life then definitely don't get the variant. The specs list the battery as 1200mah which is half that of a VTC5.

With the information you provided, I'd probably just get a used Vaporshark DNA30. I don't see the need for more wattage, extra battery life, or the temp control function.

So how much power do you actually need? The Kayfuns don't go much past 20 watts in my experience, but the Magma can go a lot higher than that. Of course, you can stay with the mech mod for the Magma, so power might not matter at all for the Kayfun type RBA's and it might be solely run time you're looking for.

And how much value do you put on the temperature protection of the DNA40, if any?

True, but has anyone seen tests done on lipos? This is a 35C/42A battery and if that is constant it will last longer than you might expect although still much less than 2 decent 18650s, which the box is big enough to accommodate. So strange choice of battery as I'm sure a bigger capacity one could be found or just using 18650s would be better.

FYI: battery is 71x35x12mm which is smaller than 2 18650s but IMO a 6mm thicker mod that could take either 18650s or enough lipo power to be useful would be much better. Best I found was a 1300mAh battery being sold with one of these.

a year ago I was vaping around .3 to .6 ohms all the time and hated just one 18650, but with 1+ ohms RTAs I don't need to worry.

It depends on how much you vape too. I typically run around 0.3 ohms on a mech mod with one 18650 and there are days I only use half a battery charge. Of course there are also days I go through 1 1/2 batts.

this mod is for me and not my GF.
Also i could care less about the 250 watts on this , i wouldnt care if it was 50 watts , i wanna buy something that looks awsome and has decent battery life , i wanted the vicious ant variant cause its the best looking box mod by far and has any watts i will ever need but dont wanna pay $700.

I will pay the $700 if i have too cause i can easily afford it but after so much money spent already i only wanna really spend a few hundred more if i can help it so when i seen the slim variant had a clone it peaked my interest. Thats why i wanted to ask anyone if they had expierience cause there is no reviews. That chinese guys video is biased cause he is trying to sell the thing , not reviewing it.
also my vtc5 batteries last me only half a day cause i vape heavy thats why i am thinking dual 18650 and also that variant lipo specs are actually decent.

I dunno what too do? Any suggestions? Also you think vapor flask clones will be as good as the real thing? Remember half of my needs are looks then other battery life i could care less about what watts exept that its 30 watts
and i cant decide wether too get the authentic kayfun V4 or the clone cause i bought a authentic kayfun lite+ and 2 different kayfun clones and the clones are better im finding , no whistles and better taste lol

Well, if I could of found an Authentic Kayfun V4, I would of gladly paid it. Seriously, but guess what, can't find them, and am on 3 restock notification email lists.

Currently have the Sigelei100 box, Cloupor T8 & T6. All three have been rock solid purrformers. Sure, there is this that or the other, on can nit pick at, whatever, but when built within their optimal purrformance range, they all produce a fine vape. Rarely do I max any of them out, and they usually are dialed in at 50-75 watts, so not looking for more, and quite seriously, anything over 100 watts, is like way to intense for me, and have a magma 0.14, straight mech, for those occasions.

Saw the V4 clone pre-buy, and searched for the authentic, notta, nix, can't be found. Must have something to do about that "over Priced" so had to settle for the $16 clone. Clones are always a gamble, but figured, worth the risk, finally looks like some real design improvements since the 3.1 came out.

Just what i was going to say ^^^ to the OP.
there are so many high watt boxes out there, and there are lots of dna and dna-type clones too, that get 30 (and now 40) watts. Don't forget dna chips give you up to 8volts.

They all look and feel great. If I were you I'd get one high watt box and a dna-type both.

I've got too many expensive boxes and clones too, and really, they all do the same things pretty much.
