I think this was done as a joke. As long as people try to be the winner the thread keeps going. As long as it keeps going, there is no winner. Infinate Loop.

They are doing the same as you......They see a thread that says "Contest" and they jump on it without reading thru it.

To be more honest, it is my understanding that "Contest" Threads are only supposed to run up to 300 posts. Check and see who #300 was.
