just got my vamo on friday. i initially wanted to purchase button top 18350 batteries. I'm glad I bought flat top though....
I have no idea how anyone can fit button top in this thing, as the flat top is completely flush with the bottom where the thing screws shut.

enough chatter though lol..... glad you chose and enjoy!

What is the difference between the 2? Besides price wise? Because hey basically look the same..

i have a ego t at the moment and loving it with my kanger t3.. But I'm researching for my next upgrade in the future now.. And I narrowed it down to these 2... But the prices are what is confusing me

Same setup I started with. This might be the first post where every piece of equipment that is mentioned is something that I can say I've tried.

I would go with the vamo. A quality stainless steel cockpit will probably run you between 50-80$.

I have both batteries and the flat top rattle a bit, so I prefer button. I haven't heard anyone say the button tops caused any issues.
If you just got your vamo I imagine you have the gold spring as there were problems with the contact of the silver spring. Either way if you need more or less room, adjust your spring.

Well, I may be a little late to the conversation, but I do have a Vamo and a Lavatube v2 Lambo.

Both are good little devices, to be sure. They're both well made, work, decent electronics.

The Vamo is my favorite. It's heavy, and stainless steel. It looks like it is indestructible. The Lavatube (Yung Joon model) is chrome plated aluminum. It is light weight but, feels flimsy to me. It may be better if you get the Lavatube in stainless. It may feel sturdier. I just would not recommend chromed aluminum...it just feels nasty when your hand gets sweaty. The stainless on the Vamo feels nice to the touch. The Vamo also allows the trustfire 18650 battery which is slightly longer but goes to 300 mAh. That battery can hold a long charge. The Lavatube only allows standard size 18650 batteries. The other problem is that the battery indicator on it is wrong. It indicates little battery life left, but there's still a charge there.

If it were me, and I could only choose one, Vamo.

I went with Vaporbreak to get my VAMO as well... feels a bit like a gamble, because from what I understand it can be tricky if you need to return it or have a problem, but it was about 1/2 the price of anywhere else, and so far it's been a solid workhorse for me. I use mine mostly with ProTanks (be careful not to over-tighten)

In a Semi-Perfect World, All 18350 Batteries Would Be the Same Size.

Unfortunately they Aren't. Their Diameters are the Same but the Length Varies. Designers don't really worry about this because they use a Spring on one end to take into account for Variations of Length.

When I got my Vamo, my 18350's would rattle Slightly. I just Stretched out the Spring Slightly and La Vola, problem solved.
