lava tube, vtube, whatevertube......wear and tear question.

Alright so i have a question i havent found a answer by research yet. So i had a friend offer me his old lava tube kit for dirt cheap and its a kit i was plannin on gettin as i want a vv kit. So my question is when buying a used tube mod, what are things to look at or to make sure that is in perfect working order before you spend money on it? Ive read that one thing with ecigs is you get what you pay for. I understand that and have learned my mistake. With this lavatube i cant tell if its a knockoff or of its the real thing but does it matter if its used? Do the knock offs last just as long? I am more then willing to buy a new device this is just a deal i dont wanna pass up. 25 bucks for a tube mod, extra batt and charger, 3.5 acrylic tank with extra boge carts, drip tips and a case for all. He told me hes hypoglycemic and cant vape any longer......never heard that but i guess its true.

First of all check for scratches etc.if there are a lot of scratches,it probably means that the LT fall too many times and this is not very good since it's electronic.Then get your favourite atty or carto with you and check how it vapes.Check also the atty threadings to be clear and not broken from it's base.Also check the cap threadings to be clear.Last check the charger with a multimeter if it can charge properly the batteries.The charger must give 4.20V.

Gotta agree with aggelos,if it is scratched up that wold not be good. Threading may or may not be a issue. Some of the older tubes had rough threads on the battery cap side; if it closes, even roughly, that may be the best it's ever been. For the price you are mentioning this could be a great deal.

The batteries may need replacement. The originals in most of the kits tend to be poor quality.
Also, check the top cap and connection to see if it is tight and straight.

If it passes all the above, for the 25, I'd go fer it!
