I've had my quality issues as well. As for the "save your money and buy a provari" argument, I disagree. I think this is an inexpensive way to learn vv vaping. I'd rather make mistakes on a $50-$80 device rather than a $160 device. I'm glad I have my lava tube, think of it as that junker car your parents first get you after your license. You're going to dent and ding that first car so why buy a Porsche?

I have had my LT now for about 4 months and it's going strong! Love it! And I am on the version 1, the new versions are even better! Also, go here and use this code for a 52 dollar shipped to you total LT kit! Apollo Ecigs | Apollo Electronic cigarettes | Electronic cigarettes Look for the Apollo VV tube and use code Vtube30 for 30% off while supplies last! Best deal I have found on version 1's. Which is plenty good enough when paired with a single coil 3.0ohm or higher carto! Good luck!

I have three and they all work prefectly fine. You're in Hawaii so I'm guessing you bought from Volcano. I didn't by my LT's from Volcano...instead I bought mine from a couple of smaller dealers. I can't comment on Volcano's sevice since I've haven't done business with them. But I feel that with buying from smaller businesses, my order gets more personal attention...and with that I mean...I am more likely to get a product that isn't defective. But I could be wrong. I tend to think the smaller dealers will most likely take the extra steps to make sure what you're buying isn't defective and they may even inspect it themselves before sending it to you.

Unlike a big business who might may be handling lots of orders at a time...and just sending you whatever they have on hand just to fill your order.

I have 2 LT's, both from Volcano and I love them! Had an issue with LCD display malfunction on one, contacted Volcano, got a prepaid return label and less than 2 weeks later, had a brand-new unit in my hands........... Can't get much better than that as far as CService...... 1 year warranty, lots of time for something to go wrong and still get it replaced free.... :) Not saying that smaller companies are bad, I get all my juices/cartos/... from smaller businesses and have always received excellent service.... :vapor:

Honestly, 2 weeks for a replacement isn't exactly stellar C.S., unless you delayed in returning it. A lot of other vendors won't make you wait for them to receive a faulty unit before they send a replacement. With the prices volcano charges, they can afford to be quicker. If they want to cover themselves against fraud, they can always put a pending charge on your CC until they receive the defective unit.

I know for a fact that a lot of the smaller vendors will ship a replacement immediately, via priority mail, and you get your replacement in 3 days, not two weeks. Two weeks is a totally unacceptable length of time to go without or to be forced to use a backup that might be a pretty sorry substitute.

I have an original LRider, with the red power button, and I love it. I run a 1.5ohm DCC in a tank, at anywhere from 4.5-5.5 volts, and I have no problems with it. It does eat batteries like this tho, but I have a set of 8 18650's that I rotate out.

Sorry to inform you but, with all due respect, you're not running a 1.5ohm DCC at 4.5-5.5 volts with an original LRider LT.
Your LT is reducing your voltage to 3.7V in order to remain below the current limit of 2.5 amps.
It isn't informing you that it's doing it, but regardless of what voltage is displayed on the LED, if you have a 1.5ohm device on the end of your LT, you're vaping at no more than about 3.7V.

Some people are perfectly happy at running a 1.5ohm DCC with 3.4-3.7V. People swear they work great on an eGo or kGo, which are 3.4-3.7 volts. I disagree, but who am I to argue? Whatever floats their boat. Although a 1.5ohm DCC presents a total of 1.5ohm of resistance to the battery, it is actually vaporizing juice with two 3ohm coils. So, each coil is half the power that a single 1.5ohm coil would be.

The largest single complaint about the LT is that it cuts voltage on low resistance cartos, like the 1.5ohm DCC. Strangely, some of the people who make that complaint are the same people who swear LR DCCs work fine on a 3.4V eGo.

If you stick to resistances in the 2.5-3ohm range, PER COIL, or at least use 3-4ohm DC cartos, you'll be able to take advantage of a higher range of voltages offered by the LT.

I would suggest using a 3ohm punched carto in your tank.

I got a lava/vari tube about a month ago, it has the red button but does allow for locking the voltage and checking the current battery level, im curious if I can also check the resistance somehow with this model and if so how is it done so I can try? Also, my LT is pretty bad ... been loving it.

The original Labatube/Vtube doesn't allow for resistance checking. The versions by other manufacturers have that function, but have eliminated the voltage locking feature.

You can, however, check the battery's loaded voltage. Press the power button until you see the remaining voltage. Press the fire button, then press the power button again. The voltage under load will be displayed. It's the actual battery voltage though, not the voltage that the boost circuit is delivering to your carto. It's mostly just useful to assess your battery's condition. If it drops below 3.7V, I swap batteries.

Yep. The versions that let you check the resistance don't let you lock the voltage or check the voltage under load.
I'm a little more .... about batteries and spend more time closer to a charger, so I swap at 3.7-3.9V with no load. The auto cutoff is supposed to happen at 3.3V though, so 3.4-3.6 is fine. I don't want to deal with the voltage drop that happens in that range, which is another reason I recharge at a higher voltage. Most lithiums are built for a dead minimum of 2.5-2.7V, so we're in the safe range regardless of how we handle it.

Well I'll be damn! This was NOT in any instruction manuals online! Thanks Sailorman!
