Yes, that seems to be an issue, more so with the silver LT's so I was told over at the Volcano forum. I was also told that it would possibly work its self out with repeated use over a day or two. Mine is working fine now BUT if you have continued to have issues with yours log in and send in a ticket at the Volcano website and they will take care of you.:)

EDIT: Most issues with the fire button seem to be more of a sticky button in nature but a fire button issue of any kind will be taken care of I am most confident. Call and/or send in a ticket to customer service if need be.

my button is having a similar issue, but not "sticking"...

Probably 3 times out of 10, sometimes more, when I press the button.. it doesn't fire. I am not pressing too lightly.

I have found that if I just let go and press again it works. AND, if I just continue to hold the button, it will fire in about 1-2 seconds.

Any one else have this issue? I have a black one that I recieved a few days before Christmas.

I thought the button on mine was faulty as well. I soon discovered that it stops firing if you ease off the pressure/relax your finger on the button. Keeping a constant pressure on the button seems to be the key with mine. More of a learning curve than a fault....still lovin' this mod. :)

Yea, it's a really good mod and especially so when I quit handling it with such kid gloves and really started working the fire/activation button and guess what......works like a charm as you say......glad you're enjoying it.....:toast:

I've had mine for about a week. Last night the button started sticking in every so often. I took the battery out and wiped the whole thing down real good with Windex on a towel. The button has worked perfectly since. Perhaps some dust got in there or something but cleaning it really well did the trick!

mine has been sticking on and off for 7 days, removed the battery , blew inside to pop buttons out and works good for a little bit, I think the design part is the problem because since it is made to be flush, it seems to stick to the sides of the button, I don't know , it ...... me off so much I bought a Provari and I'm keeping this one as a backup.

My Lavatube started misfiring after having it for a couple weeks (recently purchased one). I can confirm the posts about cleaning the inside of the mod. I took a rab, dabbed a little rubbing alcohol on it, and gave the battery compartment a good wipe down. So far no misfires (knock on wood).

Hope this helps.

On a side note, the Lavatube is a very nice device. A little TLC towards it now and again is a small price to pay. :)
