If it happens, I'd think that the closer you are to the TV, the more you'd see interference. Pulse width modulated batteries like the eGo, generate a low frequency pulsed voltage to the atomizer. That pulse rate varies to keep the voltage at the same level (3.4v) throughout the charge. It's similar to you rapidly pushing a button to keep a light flashing dimly.

This is the first I've heard about ecigs creating TV interference. I listen to AM radio talk shows in my truck all the time and haven't heard any interference at all. I'm also a guitar player and haven't heard a peep out of my guitar amp when vaping.

This is interesting... thanks for your insight.

Hmm, don't know if it is just the e-cigs or not. I do have analog, but with an HD compatible antenna that you have to have to pick up any channels, makes no sense but it is what it is. Everything electric near it causes static, poor channel pick up, and sometimes inability to pick up signal for picture or sound - or both. And I mean anything plugged in where the t.v. is, the same room. Sometimes there are even issues when neighbors (apartment living) have anything turned on close to the wall the t.v. is at.

Interesting that even e-cigs will cause this though.

When I was still using a 510 passthrough while gaming, those on voice with me would complain about humming/static whenever I would take a hit. thinking it was due to the current draw via the computer's USB port, I switched to using a powered USB wall wart - with no change. When I stopped using the passthrough though, and started using just a regular batt, the interference stopped.

Ha! lol. There was a time when I used my DIY 5 volt PT (3 amp button, usb connection, atty connector, LED... no IC's) near an A.M. radio. Static to beat all heck. I assumed it was the wall wart, but I guess it could still have been the atty/cable too since the wall warts rectify the voltage and probably PWM it also to limit it. Should all be smoothed out by the transformer/caps, but these things are built in mass for $5.00 retail. So who knows. Probably a wide range of EM interference. Obviously effects TV transmission too. lol.
