provari you say? i might have to look into this! but the grass is always greener so is there a major reason one is better than the other???

The door has just been opened.

I just bought a LT clone (Apoolo VTube mini) and it does what I want it to do. It's well built, relatively compact, and gets good battery life. I rarely take it over 4 volts as most of my favorite flavors are fruity and high voltage makes them taste funny anyway. I use Boge LR cartos with mine and I'm very pleased with it. The price was great as well as I paid $57 delivered (thanks to the Mom's Day sale)...

Like I said, seriously, a Lavatube will work very well for you, ok? I got the Provari mainly because of all the safety features it has on it. That and the fact that it's a very well made device. I've never heard of anyone who got one wishing they hadn't....but AGAIN, the Lavatube puts out the same about of volts etc...that the Provari does, and at a cheaper price.

Edited to add: I don't want to go getting sailorman's dander up here!:p He's apt to make me walk the plank!

It's stainless, prettier, U.S. made, generally more durable, handles 0.3 amps more and is a bit more accurate than the LT1.5. It also has a menu system that's a blast if you like to punch buttons a lot. Best of all, you'll get to become a Provangelist and obnoxiously interject yourself into every thread and proclaim, "Don't waste yer money dude, Get a Provari".

Is that worth the extra $130? It's up to you.

To put things in prospective a 3ohm boge carto @ 4.5v on a Provari tastes exactly the same as a 3ohm boge carto @ 4.5v on a LT. As a matter of fact it will even taste the same on a $35 Madvapes VV box mod, even my home made Mamu designed box mod that can push 16amps tastes the same.. The whistles and bells really only come into play when you get into extreme vaping with DCC's and very low resistance atties. As a normal every day vaper a person will never be aware that a V1 LT even has an amp limit.

Very true. If you stick to 2.5-3ohm resistance, the amp limit never even comes into play. The one thing that I really see as a major fault with the LT1 is the voltage sag as the battery gets depleted. It is noticeable and a slight annoyance. If the LT1.5 fixed that but still had a 2.5amp limit, I'd still buy it.
