Well then. I think this is a silly idea, so of course I voted NO. hell no!!!
I've been vaping for well over a year, and I think it's disgusting what they are proposing. I mean, they put a tax on cigarettes to dissuade people from smoking and getting cancer and dying, right? As far as we know, the nicotine isn't a cancer inducing agent, it was the carcinogens. And e-cigarettes aren't that much cheaper then tobacco products (i DO vape like a maniac, though; I spend about $25 a month on replacement heads and about $30 a month on liquid; multiply that by 2, and you have the grand total because I buy my boyfriend's gear, as well).... I just want to yell at them, what's more important money or cancer? I mean, seriously. If they're that starved for cash here in Oregon, tax cigarettes again. We're better without THEM, am I right???

The good news is that e-cigs weren't taxed, and OTP taxes weren't increased.
Since this just happened, I don't expect Oregon to enact any more tobacco tax hikes (or e-cig tax) in the next year or two.

Thanks Bill for the update... The way I see it every additional cigarette tax is more 'promotional material' for eCigs...
