Due to a series of unfortunate events I am so irked ......... I'm gonna post about it.

Soooo ....... I order a few things to fulfill my incessant need for nicotine. No biggie, this isn't the first time. I know the routine, go to work, come home, check email, check the tracking on my package of golden goodness in a box. Now only two states away.

*rubs hands together with a wide grin across my face. Tee Hee!

Go to work, come home, check email, check the tracking. Eyes widen and palms become sweaty in anticipation. It's in my city and will be delivered tomorrow! Woot!

Go to work, come home, check porch for packages, check back porch for packages, look around in confusion. Hmmmmm ....... go inside and check the tracking.

UPS driver says "Delivered to back porch"

Uhhhh ...... No, I checked the back porch. I promptly look around everywhere to no avail. I live in a town house kinda place so I check my immediate neighbors as well. No package is to be found. Sigh ..... so I decide to wait a day and see if it comes tomorrow.

It doesn't. I contact the appropriate people and the package was most certainly picked up by UPS. I contact UPS and the package was most certainly delivered ..... to the back porch. On May 26th as a matter of fact. As I previously stated however, it was not delivered to my back porch.

Yesterday, UPS, with their crack team of investigators, tracked down the package. Actually, the driver stated he was positive that he delivered the package to 6887 blah blah blah. Heh ..... could you re-read that address to me please. Off the shipping label this time? Sure, it's says 6867 blah blah blah ...... long pause. Uggggggh!

I go to down the street to 6887 and knock on the door. No answer, so I go around to the back porch, no boxes. Apparently UPS has been trying to get a hold of the people there for a couple days, I have been trying to get a hold of the people there since yesterday morning. I call the condo manager and leave a message inquiring about the people living at 6887. She calls me back and says "They moved out in May." She will however try to get a hold of them and ask about a package. Ugggggh!

And this is where I'm at. Irked. Sigh ... but feeling better that I wrote about it. So, anyone reading this, sorry for spelling errors and my general pissyness.

UPS ..... sigh.
Murphy ..... :(

DOH

So was the correct address on the shipping label? If so I would let ups do a refund for the full amount of the purchase. Sorry this happened, sucks.

Yep, UPS driver screwed up. I know ..... I'm sure UPS will make it right regardless of what happens. I now know it was delivered to the wrong address and not stolen from my porch. That alleviates a big concern I had.

It will all pan out, as these things usually do. I just know people here understand the whole delivery anticipation thing.

This isn't PV related or anything but still on topic(sort of). When I ordered my laptop, the one I'm using right now, from amazon I was in the same situation. Checking the tracking info every hour or so. Finally the package comes in the mail(i shelled out for super shipping.) As I'm opening the package it feels like Christmas, I have this big ear to ear grin on my face.

I opened the box, look inside, WTF!!!!!!!

Amazon screwed up my order! Instead of an 1800 dollar laptop there's this crappy $100 printer of the same brand. About 3 phone calls and 2 Indian telemarketers with bad English later, I get ahold of someone who knows what they are doing. My question is, how can you confuse a laptop with a printer?

You stated that you were laying on the floor:
Were you on your belly pounding your fists against the floor?
If not, you must have been on your back, flailing your hands and feet in all directions. Whichever method of delivery expedition you used, it was clearly not enough. Did you expel the necessary amount of profanity? Sometimes it takes an inordinanant amount of cursing to receive an order.
I'll generally curse a supplier while placing an order just to get things rolling.
Some say it doesn't do any good, but if nothing else, it makes me feel better.

This is exactly why I refuse to have anything delivered by UPS. I used to work there years ago and they've only gotten worse. The last time I used them, they misdelivered 3 lbs of tobacco and I used my work address where they pick up packages every day. I got ahold of them and they said they delivered it to an address across town. I told them to go get it, then they called back and said no one at that address would fess up to having signed for it and they couldn't read the signature!
Long story short, it took 5 or 6 phone calls before they finally retrieved it just as I was smoking my last few cigs and wondering if I was going to have to revert back to pre-rolled winstons, YUK!!

OTOH, I get almost everything but food online and use USPS exclusively. Only once in the last 7 or 8 years have they ever let me down. Even then, the package I ordered in December showed up, undamaged, in May.

Generally at least if you ship via USPS you get the same mail carrier who should know the names of the people on his/her route. Where I live you could mail something to me with just my name and zip code and it would still get to my house. Heck last time a package came that was short 60 cents of postage the mail carrier delivered it to my house anyway and left me a note saying I owed USPS the 60 cents.

I had a computer go missing too - thanks to UPS. It took a while, but they finally issued the guy I bought it from a check and he sent me another one. I hear stories like this way too often. I don't know how UPS stays in business.

People complain about the post office, but they do get things delivered. The actually live up to their motto! Sometimes they take their sweet time doing it. Like another poster here, I buy almost everything online, from all over the world, too - and it always gets here.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Scream and kick some more - do a little each day. It will help.

Just being nosey...what was the golden goodness in the box? :D A GGTS? Eliquid? Im dyin to know! ;)

Lol ..... when I said "Golden goodness in a box" I was only speaking metaphorically. It was actually two boxes. The anti-climactic answer to your query is .......

*drum roll

*clears throat

(1) 1/2 gallon of Propylene glycol
(1) 1/2 gallon of Vegetable glycerin

Both of those from "Essential Wholesale" and

(10) 50ml amber colored bottles w/ euro-dropper
(10) 50ml cobalt colored bottles w/ euro-dropper

Those from "Specialty Bottle"

You just rolled your eyes didn't you? :) I need these to do some reducing down and mixing however and until I get them I am stuck. Completely and totally stuck ..... so, to me , they are very much "Golden Goodness in a box."

and I still don't have them. :(

You know, I did try that with UPS. Perhaps I should have done it with the other companies. UPS however didn't react very well, they promptly hung up on me and sent me an email. I opened the email and in it was only the picture below .....

Ugh ..... a computer gone missing. Now that would really drive me nuts. It really is strange. Never a problem with Fed Ex or the USPS. I have had many deliveries to this address and now thinking about it they were always Fed Ex or USPS. Heh ...... UPS is topping my chit list right about now.

I guess I have to give the driver credit for fessing up that he did deliver it to the wrong address. I was really worried that it had been stolen after it got delivered. Bah ..... it happens.

*back on the floor screaming and kicking :)
